OVERVIEW

Affordable weighted hammer-action piano.

The Williams Allegro 2 is a full-size digital piano with 88 hammer-action weighted keys, and a brilliant new custom sound library. Enjoy 10 great sound samples, including classical and modern pianos as well as favorite electronic keyboards and synths. The Allegro 2 is a highly versatile, portable digital piano offering outstanding reverb and chorus effects PLUS special Modulation/FX control for realistic rotary and vibrato effects on select instruments. This means players now have more expressive control over the internal sounds than any other keyboard in its class. With easy-to-use controls, graphic LCD display, split/layer function, metronome and built-in speakers, the Allegro 2 is easy to navigate and play, right out of the box.

Whether you need a simple, convenient instrument for play or practice, or you™ve just starting taking music lessons, the Allegro 2 is a highly versatile and easily portable solution.

Note: This keyboard operates on batteries or with a power supply, but it ships with neither. We enthusiastically recommend the Williams ESS1 Essentials Pack for the Allegro 2 Digital Piano, which comes with a power supply, sustain pedal and pair of headphones. #J10039

I bought this used. One of the keys makes a much softer sound than the others, but otherwise, it is a very nice keyboard. I'm using it to learn piano, because it takes up far less room. You will need a stand, power supply, and foot pedal. It includes a metronome, but it's too quiet. I purchased a metronome app on my phone instead. I would buy this again, because it is a great value. No other weighted key keyboard is this inexpensive. I did a lot of research before I bought.

This piano would be fine for the student, amateur musician, or weekend warrior. Not so much for professional use. Does not ship with a power adapter (but will run on batteries). Does not fit in standard 88-key piano/keyboard cases (it's bigger than the reasonably standard 13 inches wide). It's a big chunky and awkward when compared to slightly more expensive offerings by Casio. If you are a professional looking for an instrument but already have a case, spring the extra dough for a Casio or you'll spend it on a case and power supply anyway….

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 88-Key Hammer Action Digital Piano:

We've had this piano for over 2.5 years now and other than having the tip of the headphone jack break off into the machine and having to have it removed, it's been a great piano for our daughter and perfect for any beginner. I am still disappointed that neither Musician's friend or Williams Piano gave us this thought when we explained that the electronic panel was working, yet we could hear no sound. Perhaps skipping the freebie earphones that come with it would be a good idea.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 88-Key Hammer Action Digital Piano:

Extremely disappointed in this piano as we've had it just two years and the sound no longer works. Conveniently the 1 year warranty has expired and the company has offered absolutely nothing to compensate us for the "lemon" we received. We love the piano prior to this and we're so disappointed to be replacing it so soon.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 88-Key Hammer Action Digital Piano:

Thoroughly pleased with this purchase. Also got benches for it and me to sit on. I'm a guitar player since 75 and thought I'd see what it's like to play keys. The piano sound is rich and warm. The strings setting is soothing and the organ sounds great. I love this. It's fun to play...just don't tell my guitars.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 88-Key Hammer Action Digital Piano:

I bought this for my 12yo to begin piano lessons. The weighted keys resemble our 100 year old piano and the added sounds privide the opportunity to learn additional styles of music. Volume is adequate but could be better. I think we will enjoy having this keyboard around.

The speakers are terrible. The keys have a nice feel and it looks good but the sounds are terrible.
With decent software and real speakers this good be good. Spend the extra money and get something else.

I bought this keyboard so the keyboardist in the band would not have to transport it to and from rehearsals! He seems to like it! He did not complain! So I take that as it was a good investment!

Feel great. The electric piano sounds (basically a fender Rhodes and a Wurlitzer) are unbelievably convincing for this price. Piano sounds are adequate. Very happy with the purchase!
