Williams

Real piano feel and sound in a portable solution.

Williams digital pianos have been crafted for musicians and music enthusiasts who want the look, feel and sound of a fine acoustic piano, combined with the amazing range of effects and other features that only a digital piano can offer.

The Williams Allegro follows closely to this tradition with 88 hammer-action, velocity-sensitive keys that provide you with the realistic touch and feel of a full-scale piano in an affordable, portable solution. The Allegro is a great fit for both beginners and pros, with 64-note polyphony and eight different piano and keyboard sounds at a price that will fit into any budget. An advantage of a digital piano versus an acoustic one is its features, and with the Allegro you get a built-in metronome with variable tempos, multiple demo songs corresponding to each voice, MIDI in/out connections so you can connect it with your favorite DAW, stereo/mono line outputs to hook up to monitors or speakers, a sustain pedal, music rest, and a two-track recorder that allows you to record songs and play them back right from the piano. Your friends and family will appreciate the remarkable acoustic sound and feel of the Allegro, and all at a great price.

I have a full Midi set-up but wanted a Piano/organ I could take to clubs and enhance southern rock sounds. The action is good and the sounds are close enough to that of Southern Rock Tones. Amplified it is good enough to hang with the pro's. Great Buy.

I was looking for an 88 key digital piano at the lower end of the price spectrum for gigs. I bought the Williams Allegro because it had hammer action keys and was pretty inexpensive. The first one sounded so poorly in the upper registers that I sent it back after emailing Williams and having them say what I was experiencing must be a fault. They actually called Musician's Friend who then called me and sent a prepaid RMA Label. Nice Service!Unfortunately the second Allegro was identical, since there was no actual fault, merely really poor sound reproduction. Basically the keyboard was unusable above G5 in any voice except that of the Church Organ. The piano voices clunked or made almost no sound, some organ or electric piano voices had weird warbles, strings sounded like wind in the trees, and other harmonics were too strange to describe. All of this happened only on certain keys above about G5, so that two adjacent keys would make very different sounds....really only the middle octaves sounded reasonable. I even sent a sound file of the second unit to Williams, who finally conceded that "a firmware revision is in the works, no release date has been set."I gave up and upgraded to a Korg SP-250, which is most definitely worth twice the price of the Williams. Musician's Friend really came through for me, giving me two free shipping returns and a lot of advice via email and on the phone. It just took a while before I had to concede that you just can't get a decent sounding weighted hammer action 88 key Digital Piano for less than $700.Older but wiser by nearly two months, :)Rocky

Comments about Williams Allegro 88-Key Digital Piano:

This is a very affordable keyboard with a nice touch, and sound. I'm very pleased with the playability, and the ease of set up. It is a bit heavy, but still portable enough for a gig at a coffee house, or other small venue. I'm very pleased with this purchase and with the customer service I received from Musicians Friend.

Comments about Williams Allegro 88-Key Digital Piano:

The first one was broken, so we didn't even get to try it. Customer Service was great and sent one out a few days later priority. The second one was intact, sounded OK, not great. The weighted keys are nice. But we have only had it a few weeks which is too soon to tell how well it wears. BUY THE INSURANCE!!! So if something like this happens to you you don't have to pay shipping.

Comments about Williams Allegro 88-Key Digital Piano:

This is overall a great digital piano. The sound and hammer-action/touch sensitivity of the keys are very realistic. I like how it's very simple, as well. Not too many confusing and unnecessary bells and whistles. Having said that, however, bear in mind that the sound selection is pretty limited. If you're looking to play a lot of "synth" sounds a things like that, you'd obviously be better off getting a smaller "keyboard" or something. But as far as a "piano," this is perfect for jamming with friends and playing small gigs, or just a learning instrument for beginners. It's also pretty lightweight for a full-sized digital piano. The only thing I don't really like about it so far is that the inputs for the sustain pedal, power, headphones, etc. are on the back and very recessed, making them pretty difficult to view/reach if you want to put the instrument up against a wall. But overall, I'd highly reccomend this product.

Excellent weighted key action! I bought this as a practice piano because I leave my band equipment with my band. Great deal for a basic piano for home or for a beginning student and it don't have to be tuned! Great deal!

Comments about Williams Allegro 88-Key Digital Piano:

I was excited that I received this item so fast, and waited no time in setting it up to start playing it.. I am a novice player, and didn't want one that had to many functions and whistles. this is perfect for me to entertain myself with and continue with the enjoyment of playing a piano without the worry of space of where to put it, it fits well in a corner of the room. I love this piano. I am glad I bought it, I have been looking for a long time for one that is this portable and also has a true piano feel to it. The keys are wonderful and the same as an acoustic piano.. the sound is good, and I will enjoy this instrument for many years..for the price, this piano was JUST what I was looking for. I didn't feel guilt in buying it. It does fade a little when you play certain keys or to many at once, but it is an electronic piano and a person has to expect some flaws.. but over all, there isn't enough for me to not want to keep this unit.. The sustain pedal works fine also, maybe now, I will go on and take more lessons and further my music knowledge in playing a piano..I started lessons late in life, lifetime dream of mine, and then had to put it aside while I went through cancer treatments, had a rough time getting back into taking lessons so I had to quit.. now maybe this piano will energize me and get me motivated to on and take more lessons.. My cancer is in remission, and all is good, and the time is now or never!! So glad I bought this piano!! I had a Kawai before, sold it, shouldn't have, and now since this one was so reasonable, I feel good about going forward with my dream of playing.. You are never to old to learn to read music and play piano!!!
