Comments about Yamaha NPV60 76-Key Mid-Level Piaggero Ultra-Portable Digital Piano:

Ok, the build quality seems great, however, the piano sound is not as good as the NP-31 and thats what I bought it for, as a step up from the NP-31. Guess they skimped on the Piano sound to add all the others and extra features. If you want a budget, good quality piano sound (external speakers required) don't get this on, the NP-31 would be a much better choice. If you want a keyboard or cheap arranger, this may be for you.

great beginner instrument

Comments about Yamaha NPV60 76-Key Mid-Level Piaggero Ultra-Portable Digital Piano:

I am a guitar player, but every time I go to my grandparents house I play their piano. I love playing the piano but I really just fiddled around on it using what music theory I know and applying it. Recently I have really been wanting to learn how to play the piano more in depth, to really know how to play it. I looked on line at a lot of different keyboards. The reason I choose this keyboard is because it is light, inexpensive, can run on batteries, and has good sounds. The sounds are not amazing but at the price you can't expect it to be professional quality. I really love this instrument I've had it now for about 3 weeks, and my playing has already come a long way from where it was. I would make this purchase again.I would recommend also buying a sustain pedal, stand, and power supply.
good quality, solid build yet still very light
I think it is a great value, super cheap, tons of features, and good sound quality.
