I have used this digital piano and am planning to buy it. The Yamaha P120 piano offers a lot of value for the money you'll spend, and I think you'll like it.It is small enough (and light enough: 37 pounds) to work in my second-story apartment, and the stand (attaches with four screws) is sturdier than the portable variety. The last thing you want is a thousand-plus-dollar piano that wobbles unpredictably when you play (or when the kids do!).The sounds are incredible. I've personally fallen in love with the organ sounds, although I use the piano sound much more often. The interface is simple and easy to figure out, which is not something that you can always expect. You can start playing piano by pushing the ON button -- no additional programming skills are required.Key action is important to me -- and also a "personal preference" thing. In my opinion, this piano has the closest thing to wood-weighted keys in this price range. I like the feel of wood weighted keys, and a sort of "medium" range -- not too stiff, not too light -- so if that's what you like, then I think you'll love this. This piano just feels right, especially in terms of price value: The "next step up" in key action quality costs twice as much for a portable option or three to four times as much for non-portable options.

The P120 is a great package for what your getting. The feel, is the good ol' Yamaha graded hammer effect, fabulous. It looks good enough to actually put in your living room(proudly). The only problem was the sound, sure it's great especially for what your getting, but it could use a weency bit of work it the acoustic area.

The BEST feeling digital grand yet!

        By Maestro Waddell

        from Shoal Lake, MB

The P-120 is a beautiful sounding, great feeling instrument. I have played many grand pianos, and this keyboard behaved more like one than the uprights in our own home. All of the sounds are great, and it has every in and output you could ever need. It is worth every penny.

The best in the price range.

        By Kyle Hatchett

        from Cowan, TN

Some of you probably want to know the same thing I did before I got this thing. How does it stack up against it's competitors. Well, the only real competition the P-120 has in it's price range is the Roland RD-170. I went to a music store and tried both of them. The RD-170 is a nice board, but I was more impressed with the P-120. Yamaha's graded hammer action feels more real than the Roland. While the RD-170 has more voices, the voices on the P-120 are considerably more realistic. It wasn't a very tough choice. I went with Yamaha and I believe I made the right decision.

        I love it!

        By Musicalpiano

        from Boone, NC

I have owned it for almost 2 years. It has a great sound and I don't have to pay for tuning a piano any more. It was my Christmas present 2 years ago. It is easy to move and it doesn't take up much room. I won't part with mine!

Greatest piano you can buy for the price.

        By Michael--L2W8

        from Chattanooga, TN

I love this piano! It feels and sounds like a piano. The harpsichord sounds like the real thing. It is loaded with plenty of options. I can't pull myself away from this thing. The keys are weighted. The harder you press the key the louder the note. The lighter you touch the key the softer the note. I feel like I am playing a real grand.

        A piano to go

        By Yoav Erez

        from Israel - Tel Aviv

I have had this wonderful digital piano for 6 months now, and I simply adore it. It has the most realistic sound and touch, and one of the things I like the most is the ability to adjust the brilliance of the keys with great precision so you can get truly the best sound and dynamics. It's a little expensive. It has a sheet holder, which looks like a windshild, but it's very gentle and I have nowhere to put it when I transfer my keyboard around, and I already broke a piece of the glass. I'm sure it's just a matter of time till it breaks completely... Also, there is no metal/plastic case for it, so I have to have it made, which will cost me a whole lot of money...

        This is an awesome keyboard.

        By Lyn

        from Indiana

I actually researched numerous keyboards before selecting the Yamaha P120. My decision to purchase it was based on the positive reviews I read. However, when sitting down to play it for the very first time, it actually exceeded my expectations. I "squealed" as I played the first few chords. The sound generated by this compact keyboard is amazing. I feel it excelled when put up against an actual grand piano I have been playing for years. This is the perfect buy for those limited on space. And the clarity of sound that comes out of this instrument is guaranteed to "knock your socks off".

Before owning this product I owned a small 61 key keyboard. the first time I played this product, it made my previous keyboard feel like a children's toy. This is an amazing product!
