I have owned a Motif, Korg M-50, and tried many different versions of computer software. The sounds on this board are not quite as good as the Motif, but this board is WAY easier to use, and for that reason, I still have so much fun just making music. I got frusterated with the other workstations, and always wrote off arranger boards because I thought they were cheezy. I was wrong. This board sounds great! I especially love the effects. Many are the same from the Motif which I loved. I have had this board for 8 months now, and still have a lot of fun just playing, and not programing. If I want to make a CD, I just plug in a thumb drive, record, move it to my PC and burn it. It is that easy. Cheers!

This keyboard is amazing! I played on it at the music store, and the sounds and rythems are really great. The variations for the rythems could be improved a little to have more of a variety for each style. Each style has the same intro/end as the other, so having more of a variety would really improve the keyboard a lot! But overall, this keyboard is very nice. I will be buying it soon.

Got the PSR-S710 a month ago. Compared to its S-700 predecessor, this one is improved in many ways, like more (& better) sounds & styles, multi-pads, & polyphony. I actually liked the screen layout in the S700 better, but the S710 is pretty similar, just a few bits of information is changed.Most sounds are fantastic. Some of them, though, still trail the competition. Same is true for styles. They?re just stunning.The settings for this keyboard are endless. Almost any setting or customization imaginable is probably possible to set! It?s also very easy to operate, logically laid out, in addition to the wonderful ?Direct Access? button.In terms of value & quality I only gave 4 stars, for many reasons. Among them: (1) Yamaha includes only a ?Basic? version of owners manual, but the advanced manual has to be downloaded; (2) Also, the quality of the LCD is bad, with very low resolution. I don?t care much about color, but resolution, refresh rate, & viewing angles are important!

I bought this Yamaha 3 weeks ago and fianlly got it out of the case last week.. While I have not really gotten into all the features yet, I have to say that EVERY piano, organ, horn, string, and whatever else you can think of sounds AWESOME.. Close your eyes and you think the Orchestra is in the room with you and your band.. This keyboard is worth every dollar and More.. Stage or Studio, this keyboard will do it all..
