Authentic grand piano sound and natural touch in a luxurious polished ebony finish cabinet.

Yamaha's YDP-C71PE Arius offers a highly realistic piano sound and feel that'll impress both students and experienced players alike. The graded hammer keyboard and 3-level Advanced Wave Memory Dynamic Stereo Sampling voices deliver remarkably authentic sound and natural expressiveness, making it a true joy to play, whether you're alone in your room practicing or on a stage performing. The YDP-C71PE Arius includes a damper pedal with a half-damper effect to give you nuanced expressive control over the sustained sound. It has dual voice capability so you can play two different instrument sounds at the same time. Its 2-track song recorder allows you to capture your original musical ideas and performances. It also has a beautiful polished ebony finish which will compliment any interior or look great on stage.

Where it gets its high-quality sound
The piano sound on the YDP-C71PE Ariuis sampled from the Yamaha Full Concert Grand Piano "CFIIIS", which has won high praise at the world's most famous concert halls and music competitions. The best piano was selected, and an experienced technician prepared it to the highest standards. Sampling was carefully performed over a long duration, from the start of the sound until fadeout, to reproduce a natural sound and attenuation that feels much like an acoustic piano.
In addition, focus was placed on the change in timbre due to the strength or weakness of the key strike that is characteristic of a piano. The Yamaha development team worked together with pianists in thorough pursuit of the optimum touch and timbre combination. Now it's your turn to enjoy the fruit of their labor.

If you want more than just a Grand Piano sound, the YDP-C71PE Arius also offers nine other instruments, including Electric Piano, Organ, and Harpsichord. You can also learn 50 famous piano songs with the included music book (they are already included inside the piano itself too for your listening and learning pleasure). Lastly, it has a matching music rest for your songbooks and a matching bench to rest your legs while you play.

Comments about Yamaha YDP-C71PE Arius Polished Ebony Digital Piano with Bench:

A good digital piano. However the keys still make the noise that accompanies all keyboards. Feels realistic enough but with the clicking sound of digital keyboards. Other than that, it's perfect.

Comments about Yamaha YDP-C71PE Arius Polished Ebony Digital Piano with Bench:

For me, it was between this and the Roland DP990, which is around $1500 more. I thought the Yamaha sounded, looked, & functioned better strictly as a piano replacement. It has two really great piano sounds, which is all I wanted, though the Rhodes/Church organs are pretty good as well.

It only has a few sounds & very limited connectivity, but for me at least, I wanted something that can replace a piano & little else. When I need a synth - I'll use a synth.

I am very happy I purchased this
