It has 100 accompaniment styles and 102 built-in songs for you to experiment with and learn. Use the Portable Grand button to instantly call up an authentic stereo grand piano sound. The YPT-230 also has nine, rich reverb effects to add concert-hall ambience to any performance. The included Yamaha's Education Suite 6 makes practicing your favorite songs easier than ever before.

The YPT-230 has various Ultra WIde Stereo presets to help you enjoy the experience of an extended, wide, dynamic sound field.
More Advanced "Y.E.S 6"
Practice makes perfect, and for years Yamaha has been helping beginner's hone their skills via the Y.E.S. (aka Yamaha Education Suite). You can practice at your own speed with Y.E.S. Version 6's lesson functions. One of the new features that'll help is that playback of the selected song is continuously adjusted to the tempo of the your performance so you can master a song at a slower tempo until you can get up to speed literally.
Auto Power Off mode
The YPT-230 is not only super-affordable, but eco-friendly too. It comes with a function that turns off the power automatically if the keyboard has not been used for a set amount of time in order to avoid using power unnecessarily. This supports long battery life.

I bought this for my 10 year old and he loves it. It has the lesson mode that helps a lot. the sounds are great. the only negative was that it did not come with a power supply and it was had to figure out if it was suppose to.

The keyboard looks good though I am yet to test it. When I went thru the product description page, I was not sure whether it includes an AC Adapter, so I called a sales rep and she confirmed it comes with one. I ordered YPT-230 but when the shipment arrived, the adapter was not there. When I called back customer service, they told the sales rep was wrong in saying that Adapter is included. I had very good image of musicianfriend but it is not there anymore...
