Lavalier System

Omnidirectional condenser. Nady DKW-2 is the perfect entry level professional wireless. Delivering clear, transparent, high-fidelity audio, the DKW Series systems can be used for a broad range of singing and speaking applications. Although offered at a breakthrough new low price for a professional wireless, the DKW Series is loaded with features.Frequency Selection and Multiple System Use
A word of caution! Quite often, wireless Mic Systems (and wireless guitar/bass systems) operate on the same frequencies as TV channels. In general, VHF systems work on TV channels 2 - 13, and UHF systems on TV channels 14 - 69. So, when ordering a wireless mic, make sure you check the channel against your location to ensure your wireless mic systems avoid interference with local TV channels.
Wireless Mic Systems send out a radio signal which is picked up by the receiver. Each wireless system transmits this radio signal on a unique frequency or channel, and this is an important issue to consider when purchasing wireless systems. Using multiple wireless systems together requires that careful attention be paid to frequency or channel selection. Multiple people in the same band/group cannot use the same frequency/channel. As the number of wireless systems used in your performance increases, the transmitted signals interact with each other to create "intermodulation distortion" or intermod for short. If careful attention is not paid to channel selection, this intermod becomes a sort of interference which may cause wireless mic systems that work fine individually, to not work when used all at once. The key is to keep careful track of your operating frequencies to ensure they are all compatible.

Comments about Nady Dkw-1 Lavalier Wireless System:

Bought 3 of these to mic up a bride, groom and JP at a wedding. Had no other pending need for Lavalier mic's so, I went cheap. They worked. They're not pretty and they seem like they'd break pretty easily, but, if you are only going to use them rarely, probably a safe bet to get you thorough a handful of gigs.

Still working after 3 years. I usually use at about 50 feet away and not many problems cutting out.
I've had mine for 3 years and it still works great. I recently bought a Shure wireless with lapel and the sound doesn't pick up as good as this one does. Mic is sensitive but doesn't feedback. So this is my first one I use and have the Shure as the backup.

      Save your money

Comments about Nady Dkw-1 Lavalier Wireless System:

I've done pro sound for 15 years and when I did a job for a church group who bought these mics because of the low price, they got exactly what they paid for. The mics all made a buzzing and popping noise. They would cut in and out. And now matter how much adjusting I did on the squelch and gain, nothing helped. Their show sucked because of these mics. Save your money and buy at least an Audio-Technica ATW251 or better.
