Overview

A collaborative piece of art on canvas by one of the world's best drummers.

Legendary drummer Carl Palmer, known for his influential catalog of work with Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Asia, created "Blue Mountain Fire" through the new medium of capturing rhythmic performance and putting it to canvas in a debut collection called "Twist of the Wrist."
"Blue Mountain Fire" was created by Palmer for canvas utilizing his gongs - the only piece in his collection to do so. The rhythm captured is amplified through reflection as light cascades from left to right, top to bottom.

About Carl Palmer
One of the most respected and iconic drummers in rock n' roll history, Carl Palmer boasts an exceptional journey fueled by his remarkable rhythmic talents. Hailing from Birmingham, England, Palmer began playing professionally at the age of 14. As drummer for Emerson, Lake, & Palmer (ELP), Asia, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Atomic Rooster, and the Carl Palmer Band, Palmer has significantly impacted the sound of popular music and the rhythmic boundaries within. He was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the 10 Greatest Drummers of All Time. With unmatched style and extraordinary rhythmic facilities, he serves the benchmark for a loyal legion of aspiring drummers worldwide, as he stylistically fuses the influences of jazz, classical, pop, and art rock into a signature sound.
