Comments about Electro-Voice Cobalt 4 Two Pack with Stands & Cables:

The Cobalt 4 was the first microphone I've ever purchased. I needed to mic an acoustic guitar and an electric (via the amp).

Admittedly, I'm a novice, and this is the first time I've ever worked with microphones. However, for my first mic, I got lucky, because the Cobalt 4 captured the instrument sounds wonderfully with no discernable external noise (I have at least one desktop computer running in the same room that has several large case fans). Routing it through my Pevey mixer with the phantom voltage enabled (required for condenser mics), the instrument sounds were reproduced faithfully.

    Satisfied

Comments about Electro-Voice Cobalt 4 Two Pack with Stands & Cables:

When I first hooked up the mike I had a buzz in my monitor I changed to my cable and it went away. Later we hooked it up again at church with your cable to see if both cables were bad and they worked great. The singer that came said that he spent $300.00 on a Sure Mic that didn't sound as good as these Cobalt Mics. I'm very pleased.

    Decent Value

Comments about Electro-Voice Cobalt 4 Two Pack with Stands & Cables:

They are no SM57, but they work fairly well. I would not use them for vocals if you intend on holding the mic as there is a bit of handling noise. The mic stands are solid and should last a while as long as you don't abuse them. Cables are plenty long. Not the best quality, but certainly far from the worst. All in all, if you need a couple of extra mics and price is the issue, this packaged is well worth it. Not as nice or rugged as a 57, but it is similar enough, and lower costing so for those on a budget, it is perfect. If you don't need stands, get a different package as they are not the best.
