I've had a good bit of experience with these instruments and they're great. The instrument itself is very well balanced (for a sousaphone), feels natural, and is very easy to play. The sound is very warm and round (especially when paired with a conn-helleberg mouthpiece). Our marching band played a wide variety of competition shows and our director and many of our judges frequently complimented our section on our sound. This sousaphone is MOST DEFINITELY a work horse and a pleasure to play.

I've been playing these conns in marching band for a while now, and i have to say these things are great. compared to king sousaphones they are similar. But these conn sousas have short valves (shorter way to push) which for me makes it that little bit easier to march. the particuler one i play is in not the greatist shape due to many years of use at school bit it gets the job done and douse a good job at it
