Comments about Evans Marching G2 Tenor Head:
We use this on our tenors in the school band and they are very durable some eighth grader came through and knocked my quints over and i thad a carrier on them idk why and we got them back on the stand and played them and they sounded still sounded brand new
Comments about Evans Marching G2 Tenor Head:
I bought this because it was the only thing I could find for my single 6" roto-the only one I kept from a set I didn't use anymore. I use this mounted into my practice kit where the 3rd tom would have gone in my Rogers big "R" cluster rack mount. I know it's not for the intended use so this rating is slightly inappropriate. It does not give off the ring I'd like but it will suffice. Maybe after a little more break-in? Good price though and good resource for finding these smaller heads!
Comments about Evans Marching G2 Tenor Head:
The Evans marching G2 tenor heads are not kidding around. I've used pretty much every head on the market from Remo for this application and they all seem to lack the warmth and clarity of the Evans heads. I've used Clear and Ebony Pinstripes and Emperors as well as the Renaissance Emperors in the past. None can touch the beautiful tones that the Evans heads produce. The Remos seem to lack the more sophisticated sound of the Evans heads. Most of the Remos are too tinny for my taste and they lean towards the brighter side. If you are looking for tenor heads I'd go with these over anything else. If you do decide to go with Remos (cringe) I recomend only Clear Pinstripes and Renaissance Emperors, the other models aren't worth looking at. The Ebony series is horrible for marching applications, since they drop all the time from sun, humidity, and temperature which is critical for a marching head. The clear emperors just don't have a good tone, too ringy, tinny, and bright for any use.
