Well, I love this head. I got a couple of these after we used them on our line. Took me a couple of years to get back to them, but when I did, love at first sight. I use the black max on my snare for my kit. Sounds amazing. The attack is very short and very controlled. It POPS. Durability is fantastic. I can put a beat down and it'll never break on me and never pull out of it's seat. Love it!

Of course this is the standard for our school. these babies are excelent heads and the are extremely durable. they can definately take high tension tuning, and a hard beat down for long periods of time. these are only the best when you have a small drumline and a large band, because they project like no other, the rim shots cut through the other sounds.

This is an amazing drumhead. It gives a great sound for the drum, and makes rolls and rim shots easier. Make sure to tune it right.
