My HS Drumline has marched these sticks for many years now, and they have always served their purpose well and then some. An excellent stick for a great value! Perfect for first-time drummers and old pros alike!
The stick has a great balance between length and diameter, and has an excellent, even sound with beautiful tones. The stick is great for learning technique as well: My first pair of Marching Snare sticks was a pair of Ralph Hardies, and I have loved them ever since.
The sticks always arrive tonally even and without a scratch to be seen. The hickory wood is always even, without even any aesthetic blemishes. The sticks will get beat up easy, especially without proper care, but that's to be expected of any Marching Stick, regardless of quality. I use white electrical tape to cover mine, and that significantly prolongs their life and quality.
Way to go Musician's Friend! Excellent Price! Anywhere else, especially from a local music store, these sticks could be $10-20+ more! And the quality is never affected!

These stix are definitely not the best. Good stix to start out with but eventually you'll all come to see the light. They have a good rebound and a good feel but have terrible articulation. I havent found a pair of these yet where both stix sounded alike. I would recommend Tom Aungst's over these.

As a part of a sponsorship, vic firth drops us off sticks for super cheap. we ended up geting the nylons for free. they are light and good for fast licks like paradiddlediddles at 210, and i bought the woods, and they are very much the same. though, these sticks break fast, but can take a beating. the other snare drummer on my line broke his after a couple of months, while after 8, mine just started cracking

These sticks are pretty good, there extremely light which is a plus for beginners. Although I bought a pair of these sticks and both sticks sound a little different, but other than that, there good sticks. :)

Can't really say anything negative. I have used these sticks during my years on the drumline and I havn't found any other stick that quite matches the control. The weight difference from other sticks are definately a plus. I would recommmend them to anyone in marching band or on a drumline.
