They provide a great sound but are not very durable, i broke 3 pair in one marching season. My personal is the Colin Mcnutt Corpsmaster. It dosent provide quite the full sound scojos do but they are alot more durable and get that nices clean feel you look for.
I love the feel and sound of Scott Johnsons they are just very weak. In a total of about 6 hours(spread over 5 days) of playing (not very intense playing) my drumline broke three. The next week I personally broke two. If you want good sound and feel buy these but be prepared to buy more and more and more.
I love the Scott Johnson snare sticks. I first borrowed a pair from my friend and liked them so much that the next day I went out and bought my own pair. I highly recomend this stick for any serious snare player that wants to get the best sound quality they can from their drum.
Even though i play bass for my high school drumline, i personally say these are the greatest marching drumsticks, strong, great sound.this type of stick is the only one our drumline uses
I've been using these sticks for 3 years now. Over that time I've tried out lots of other sticks, but have not found a pair that is equal to these in terms of quality and durability.
I think that these sticks are the best ever made. We use them on our DL. And we have been for years. These sticks have a great rebound. They feel great in our hands. Also, every drummer on oue DL thinks the same as I do. Keep rocking SJ sticks!!! You rule!!!
These Sticks are very nice and offer a good, full sound, but they break really easily, i haev alreayd broken 9 pairs this season. It might just be where i bought them from but anyways, before they broke they were awesome. I recommend this sticks to everyone!!!
These are among the best sticks I've used. They're not too heavy or too light, the rebound is great, and they feel good in your hands. Anything good enough for the Blue Devils is good enough for my drumline!
Nothing gave me more rebound before. These sticks are the big dogs of snare sticks.
I absolutely love these drum sticks. I play some serious music (Dream theater, symphony x etc.) and these hold up to abuse. Not only that they bring out the lower tones on the drums, you can tell the difference immediately it brings out the "rich" drum sound and rocks the snare drum. I dont like using anything thing else. These are the best. Oh they are quite heavy and pretty large but you get used to it. Added length gives you that reach for the cymbals as well.
