Over the years, I've tried everything from putting pieces of carpet underneath mic stands to using big, radio-style shock mounts to fight feedback & rumble coming through the stage, up the stand, to my mics. Now with On-Stage Stands's MY-325 Dynamic Shock-Mount Microphone Clip, I'll never have that problem again. Plus, it won't break-you can run over it, drop it, and it's still OK. I've put them on every mic stand I own (it's gotta be around a dozen) and I've bought extras for any future purchases. You owe it to yourself!

OK, so you're looking for a mic clip that wont bring sound from the stage to your High-Cost, Name Brand, Mic, well my friend, THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT..! They say it is, but.. It just doesn't work, period.! The sound of a foot tapping on stage rings right through the mic holder, and right out the p.a. system.! It was sooo embarrassing to be told at the first break that we had a "HARD TAP" coming out of our P.A., like one of the guitar amps was set for metronome.!! At least I was on the beat.!! Switched the mic holder and quit taping my foot, and no more noise... Wonder why.?.? 'Cause it JUST DON'T WORK.!! Don't buy this thing, it's JUNK.. No I would NOT Recommend it to anyone.!!

Comments about On-Stage Stands MY-325 Dynamic Shock-Mount Microphone Clip:

I wanted a good mic holder for a quality mic that didn't come with one.. This is NOT it.! This mic holder may reduce stand noise, and stage sound transfer, but you'll have to get it to hold your mic first.!! It's made of a cheap quality rubber, and is very flexible.. This makes it not possible to grip a heavy mic, or hold an average mic at any kind of a downword angle.. I would NEVER trust it to a high quality mic of any real value.. Musicians Friend has really let the quality of the product line drop lately.. I'm NOT IMPRESSED..!!

Comments about On-Stage Stands MY-325 Dynamic Shock-Mount Microphone Clip:

This is a perfectly fine mic clip, however, it does not noticeably reduce transmission of sound through the mic stand as the "shock mount" title suggests. I like the flexibility of the clip - it may be less likely to crack like some harder plastics), and adapts well to different sized mice. But may not be worth the extra cost, especially if reducing transmission of sympathetic vibrations is your goal.

Comments about On-Stage Stands MY-325 Dynamic Shock-Mount Microphone Clip:

IF you have a noisy mic that actually amplifies your mic stand too, this helps alot. It's not like a more expensive studio shock mounts, but for home studio's its a vast improvement over standard mic adapters.

Although I really like the style, One was unusable as it wouldn't screw onto the mount. The other one was difficult, but I was finally able to get it to screw on the stand. I wouuld recommend them with caution.

Comments about On-Stage Stands MY-325 Dynamic Shock-Mount Microphone Clip:

I've used this live, and it worked great...until I had to remove the mic. If you're in a situation where you will be switching between handheld and stand use, the flexible shock-mount makes it a little tricker to remove the mic in a flash. However, when the mic is stationary, used on a stage where people are moving around, you'll have no problem. It also accomodates medium-to-large-diameter microphones, including the Rock Band/Guitar Hero mics. It's still a tight squeeze on Shure's large-barrel wireless handhelds.
