Excellent quality and inexpensive MIC clip. Holds Microphone securely without slipping. I play Dobro and the Microphone is place straight down over the resonator cover plate. If the Microphone slips it will either put a dent in the cover plate or the top of the guitar. I have confidence that this MIC clip will hold the MIC securely.

The Mike Clip looks like it was made for a lot smaller size microphone than standard. I had to really force the mike into the holder to get it half way in. The plastic clip is also very thin and looks like it could break at any time. It sure isn't a SURE brand microphone clip. I will not purchase this item again.

Worth the Price, But Too Small

Pros

  • Durable
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Too Small for Standard Mics

Best Uses

These mic clips are built well but only smaller mics will fit them; None of mine will. I appreciated the free shipping, but the cost of returning them is almost as much as I spent on them, so I lost on this deal. Be sure of what size you need before purchasing. These "Standards" are pretty small.

Nice mic clips for the money. If your mic is larger in size it will not slide all the way down. You might want to purchse the rubber mic clips instead. The rubber mic clip will be more adjustable.

It seems to be made well my only complaint is that it's a bit small. The mic I use is fairly wide and this clip only holds itat the very bottom. It works fine but I would have prefered it grip a little further up. It hasn't failed and it hold the mic tight, I just wish I could rest the mic a little further down on it. I am checking Yes, I would recommend this to a friend but I would add that it is not good for thick barrel mics.

            Not for 57s / 58s!

Shure SM 57s & 58s do not fit in this clip. In fact, it is so narrow, you cannot get the cable through the gap at the top nor can you get the XLR cable end through the middle. Use the only for long, thin shotgun style mics.

                      Seems to work

                      from Polson, Montana

I like this clip because it grips the mic securely, and is fairly durable. It's certainly not unbreakable, but for the price you can afford having a few spares. In the long run, it would probably pay to buy a few rubber ones instead, especially if you travel.

                      Too Small for Mic

                      By

                      from St. Louis

I purchased the Proline standard mic clip because the less expensive one, Musician's Gear Heavy Duty mic clip, had some bad reviews. I have an Electro-Voice Cobalt and a Shure SM58 mic and neither mics would fit because the opening was too small. I could have forced it but I was afraid I'd break it. I'm going to use it as a spare only if needed.
