Comments about Nady SSM-3 Shock Mount:

I use these shock mount mic clips in a choir loft with a floor that transmits every step, bump or shock right up through the mic stand. These shock mounts provide a perfect buffer from the herd of elephants that parades through the choir loft. None of the bumping makes it to the highly sensitive condenser mics. The only problem I've seen is that people don't take care of them and tend to over-tighten and subsequently break the wing nut. The elastic holds up rather nicely and that surprises me. I thought that would be the first thing to go. If Nady could develop an indestructible wing nut, it would be perfect.

Comments about Nady SSM-3 Shock Mount:

save you money for this shock mount and go buy your self a pizza. it worked good until i over tightened the wing nut to keep it at the right angle. i did this because it kept falling down, i guess it wasnt tight enough. when i tried to make the bolt tighter it striped the threading and now serves as a paperweight on my desk. now my next recording will consist of holding my condencer mic. yay!

Comments about Nady SSM-3 Shock Mount:

Although the quality isn't what one would call "stellar" the unit is functional and does what it is designed to do. Its a bit of a tight fit for my SCM 960 but holds the mic securely once its in there. The internal threads to mount the unit to a mic stand look a little iffy quality wise but at least they screw onto the mic stand and it stays there.

Comments about Nady SSM-3 Shock Mount:

Well, it's a Nady - not much to say after that!!
I use it in my pre-production studio. I have my studio mic boom extended with the mic flown from over-head, but with the universal clip on the replacement not being wide enough to support the weight of the mic, I have now had to flip everything around!! That was the only inconvience that I have experienced to this point. Just have to see how this is going to work out.

A decent mount for little $$

Comments about Nady SSM-3 Shock Mount:

I bought this to use with my Behringer C3 mic, and tho it is a tight fit, it works much better than the plastic holder that comes with the mic.The one problem I had with mine was the clips that open & close the holder. One was bent down and resting on the frame, thus the mic was not free floating. A little tweak with the needle nose pliers fixed that tho.The suspension is tight, but still has enough "give" to isolate the mic from the standOverall, this holder is doing fine, and is worth the $$ IMHO.
