OVERVIEW

Protects a trio of instruments in one specially designed case.

The removable flute and clarinet sections feature molded interiors, soft velvet lining, and secure zippered closures. The molded alto saxophone section is lined with beautiful padded velvet to safely protect the horn. An interior removable storage section offers more storage - perfect for reeds, tools, cloths, lubricants, and other accessories. A space-saving padded neck and mouthpiece pouch that safely fits into the bell is also included.

The exterior features a strong wood frame with a padded water-resistant 1680 ballistic nylon cover. Other exterior features include a large storage pocket with built-in organizer, metal hardware, smooth oversized zippers, and a padded shoulder strap.

Comments about Protec TRI-PAC Case for Alto Sax, Clarinet and Flute:

Overall it's a really good product. right now the inside does not use the space to best capacity, it's bulky (on the inside) and it's hard to get out the clarinet case from its slot. I think its a good first run at a modren case that's for doublers. I'm sure the next protec case will be better!

Comments about Protec TRI-PAC Case for Alto Sax, Clarinet and Flute:

Great case for multiple instruments. A bit heavy for a younger child to carry, wish it had wheels and easier access without the strap getting in the way.

Comments about Protec TRI-PAC Case for Alto Sax, Clarinet and Flute:

The Tri Pac Case is exactly what I was looking for. Before this case I had an old Selmer Tri tenor case. When it finally gave up I was unable to find a tri case in the tenor version. No problem, I play alto and baritone as well and my alto case was in bad shape. This Alto tri case is perfect and holds all three very solid. I also ordered a tenor case by the same manufacturer.

Comments about Protec TRI-PAC Case for Alto Sax, Clarinet and Flute:

I was looking for a case that had interior held compartments for clarinet and saxophone in particular; the flute compartment was a nice addition not for my purposes but I use it to store supplies. Finding this case on the website was hard; the item shown in the home page photo is NOT the item you get; look closely at the smaller pictures and the case w/blue interior (that has all the instruments on the INSIDE) is the one you get and that was exactly what I wanted.
The case is great, very well made, holds my alto sax, clarinet & flute perfectly. It is a little heavy even w/out anything, but I attribute that to all the interior bracing for the instruments so with instruments it's heavy, but that's fine by me. I'll take the extra weight if it means my 3 instruments are well protected with all of them inside the case, not in zipper outside compartments.
My only complaint is that the saxophone neck interior pods wasn't well thought out - there's no molded area inside it to hold the neck, although I did get a foam "envelope" that can hold it and I can wedge it in the top lid of the case with care; a little better planning could get it a separated pod in the area adjacent to the flute pod. Still, it's worth it!
