3/17/2008: Mackie unveils cool new products.
Mackie U.Series mixers combine an array of input options with 24-bit/96kHz FireWire connectivity to meet every need of the modern musician/producer. Flexible I/O allows you to connect just about any audio gear. The U.420 leaves no line level device behind, with four stereo line level inputs, an RIAA phono preamp, 3-band "full-kill" active EQ, aux sends, a built-in DI, and more. The U.420d adds even more inputs including two premium Mackie mic preamps with mid-sweepable, 3-band active EQ, plus 30mm channel faders, a built-in DI box and more. Two stereo channels feature RIAA phono preamps for turntables. Add in 3-band "full-kill" active EQ and a 30mm crossfader and it’s a full-on DJ/producer control station. U.Series mixers are truly innovative. Concepts like the micro-mastering section with a centrally located master volume knob provide an intuitive, unique ergonomic experience that will streamline your workflow, maximizing creativity.

Also new from Mackie are three PPM Series powered mixers, all featuring 32-bit effects and built-in channel compressors.

  • The PPM608 has 1000 watts and 8 channels.

AKG debuted two new studio headphones, the K77 and the K99. They're both made in Austria and feature sleek cosmetics, comfort earpads, and come with extension cables.

3/14/2008: New gear from Yamaha:
The AUDIOGRAM Series audio interfaces will turn your computer into a powerful yet intuitive tool for recording and editing audio from virtually any microphone, instrument, or audio device. 3/13/2008: KRK releases the Ergo Room Correction system.
This hardware-based room correction system works with all studio monitors. By analyzing 1,024 bands of EQ, you can tune your monitors to any room. Ergo simply plugs into your computer to analyze the room. It works in standalone mode and also doubles as a monitor volume and switcher for two pairs of speakers.

3/13/2008: Korg debuts the Pa588 Keyboard
The Pa588 was designed to allow accomplished and demanding pianists to enjoy the benefits of the powerful Korg Pa Series, without having to compromise when it comes to keyboard performance.
