Telecaster saddles made with a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage.
The String Saver Barrel Saddles IOS (PS-8166-00) are superior replacement saddles for Telecaster-style electric guitars. They are made with a unique combination of materials made to enhance tone and dramatically reduce string breakage.
How does the Graph Tech String Saver work?
A string rests on a metal saddle that binds and locks the string in place. As the string vibrates, it is stressed on a very specific point producing metal fatigue and then string breakage. Each Graph Tech String Saver saddle is impregnated with Teflon, the slipperiest substance on earth. The Teflon in String Savers eases the grip between the saddle and string, spreading the stress over a greater portion of the string, just enough to drastically reduce string breakage. Teflon is 500% more slippery than graphite and is impregnated throughout the String Saver material, so its lubricating properties will never wear out. For string breakage reduction the difference is dramatic. Use the Graph Tech String Saver Telecaster Saddle and get guitar strings that last and last, no matter how hard you play&hellipGraph Tech guarantees it!
What do they sound like?
Metal saddles have a pronounced 2 KHz treble spike that dominates the tonal spectrum. The Graph Tech String Saver Telecaster Saddle have a more balanced tone, with highs, mids and big open lows. You will also notice an increase in sustain by up to 25% over brass saddles and 15% over steel.

Comments about Graph Tech String Saver Barrel Saddle IOS for Telecaster Electric Guitars (Set of 6):
Do not purchase this product! The saddles buzz like something awful, the strings won't sit right on them, and they constantly want to flip over. On top of that, the Allen key provided stripped one of the height adjustment screws. Not a good buy, don't waste your money. They only look cool, but it's the sound that matters the most.
