Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
Got this for my 12-year-old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. She does carry a foam rest with her all the time. While there is not a designated spot for it in the case, it fits on top of the violin and the lid still closes easily. Seems very sturdy so far.

Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
I bought a fiddle/violin a year ago December 24th (2011), and just recently got around to buying a case for it, as I'm not a fiddler/violinist and guitars are my primary instrument.
I must say, for the price I was skeptical, but I figured "what the heck, I'll give it a shot". It was on backorder for a few weeks (probably waiting on another shipment from China), but it finally arrived. It looked to be good and sturdy from the initial overview, but as I went to place my fiddle and bow in it and close the lid, I noticed the aluminum valence wasn't lining up properly. Turns out, the far left hinge on the back was messed up. The pin that holds both portions of the case together at the hinge was loose (they are supposed to be permanently fixed to the hinges) and fell out, and the hinge was bent out of shape where, even at my best attempt, I could not get it to line up and put the pin back in where it would function (the pin would go in, it just wouldn't stay in-line when you go to open/close the case again). I directly got on the phone with Musician's Friend customer service, and they helped me out with no hassle...After sending the first case back via a prepaid postage label, they sent me a replacement, which turned out to be a winner.
Would I recommend this case to a friend? Well, maybe. I'm not a fiddler, and I don't take my fiddle out of the house, much less take it out of the case very often at my own house, as I just bought the fiddle to tinker around with if ever I want to learn how to play. If someone were to be a rather frequent player and needed a case that they could depend on, for gigs or more, I'd definitely recommend a higher level hardshell case. Still, this case seems to be very sturdy other than the hinges, and I'd still choose this type over those cloth zip-up deals, that tend to cost even more, remarkably (can't figure out why violinists would want one of those types, but maybe there's a secret perk to those that I'm not aware of). The biggest issue with this case is that the hinges do seem to be made out of rather weak metal. I'm not sure how long they'll last, but for the price, if they ever give way, I'll just afix some more on it on my own and make do.

Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
I think this product provides great value for money, however it lacks one important aspect which is the provision to accomodate a shoulder rest or adequate storage for one.
If you have a should rest/pad and need to carry one always this is not for you. If does include 2 tiny pockets to store rosin approx 2 x 2 x 1.5D.
Had to return mine in exchange for a rectangular case which is unfortunately does not have a thermoplastic exterior
Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
Easy to clean, cheap, functional. It fit my violin, 2 bows, and accessories perfectly and compactly. Lining was soft, and the outside slick. It is the best value for the price I paid for it, though I would have paid more for it. I tried the fabric cases before, but they attract and absorb everything around them like a bathroom rug. This case is easy to wipe off the outside and nothing seems to stick to its outside surface.
It featured a compact size yet fit both my bows, violin, and accessories perfectly. One would think it was custom to my violin. Very soft in the inside. Unlike the fabric outsides which somehow attract every mysterious bodily fluid on every sidewalk, train, house, or anywhere else you set your case, this case is smooth plastic on the outside that is easy to wipe off and sterilize. It is sterdy enough to handle every kind of basic impact, but is not bullet or sit-on proof. I wouldn't expect that from any case though.
Great quality overall. It is very professional and looks well made, including the inside lining. Clamps in front function smoothly.
For the price I paid for this, it was the best value I could imagine. It is good looking, functional, and cheap, like me. I'm going to enjoy this piece.
Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
it seems to be a really nice case. My previous case was a glaesel, which came with my violin. It must have been quite old because the hard plastic cracked and broke loose from the hinges. This case is much nicer with more room. I especially like the shoulder strap.
Comments about Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case:
I ordered this case for my violin because I didn't have a good case for it. I have to say this case is good as far as bang for your buck. I was a little sceptical at first because I wasn't sure how high quality it would be with how cheap it is compared to other similar models. however it seems to be almost the same as other similar higher priced models. If you are looking for a cheap but decent case I would recommend the Bellafina Thermoplastic Violin Case.
