Ebony fingerboard, bridge, chin rest, and tuners complement its solid flamed maple top, back, and sides. A piezo pickup provides rich, clean fiddle tone. Includes a professional hardshell violin case that features a hygrometer, space for 4 bows, a tube to hold high-quality strings, and a genuine horsehair hex-shaped violin bow.

i received the F3 fender electric violin today. was very pleased with the tone quality and beauty of the instrument i do not find the weight of instrument a problem.would highly recomend this instrument to anyone, i use a beringeraccoustic amp .

I play my 2010 model Fender FV- 3 electric violin in front of 4,000 people at church and in my band that plays many genres of music. The finish on it is incredible and the pearl lining on it always gets attention. The sound is amazing and comes out sweet especially when I'm using my Fender Frontman 212 R amp. The volume and tone knobs do exactly what they are supposed to. This violin sounds especially good running through effects. Downsides: The shoulder rest slides out when not against your body and the bow that is included is made of parts that are of marginal quality.

I think that this is a great violin for the price. Some people complain that its too heavy but I don't think so. As long as it has a nice shoulder rest It's fine. I especially like the fact that it has a passive pickup.

I bought this violin to play in my band, and it is awesome! It gave my band that extra push, and that weird element to our music. I just recently put an epiphone humbucker on it, and it sounds wonderful. I have been playind it through my old marshall half stack, and with the newly added humbucker, it is sick!! Just crank up the distortion and bow down to it. A great buy

I really enjoy owning this violin. The features on it are great and it has good sound quality. The only problem I had with it was the shoulder rest. It kept sliding out and it annoyed me while I was playing. Other than that, this instrument is excellent.

This is the only electric violin I've played, so I can't really compare it with others, but I love to play it and it is a very good quality instrument! I'm happy with mine!

This violin is pretty trick. I think it is a bit heavy and the bow is of marginal value. I have been told that the frogs do come apart unexpectedly when servicing. I have been looking for the right sound effects and amplification. So far, I have Fender Acoustimas and Crate Acoustic amps.
