I needed a better case than what I had so I decided on this one. I really must say it was better than I expected, fit my violin perfectly and, the storage is adequate enough for accessories inside the case. The zippered pocket on the top of the case is full length and, width of this case for even more storage. Overall I am very pleased with this case and, it is very light weight.

I ordered this case for my Barcus-Berry accousic/electric violin. I guess it's been updated because when it had arrived (via UPS), their was a shoulder rest compartment up by the pegs. My Kun shoulder rest fits well. But my Resonans shoulder rest does not fit. On the second day of owning/using the case, one of the bow holders broke so I had to switch it with one of the ones from the very crappy old case. I think I'm going to order the Bellafina Maturo case and see which I like better.

I bought this case to replace the almost 100 year old violin case i was storing my almost 100 year old violin. i would recommend this if you NEED a temp case. but nothing to store your expensive violin in long term. It's light, made of some hard faom or something. and upholstered not very good at all.

I tore the cheap styrofoam and velveteen out and replaced with typical camera case foam that I custom fit with a home made hot-wire foam cutter (see YouTube for examples). Now fits my Fisher Gold Bug II metal detector like a glove.
Much better than the case the Fisher company want $120 for.
I bought this from Musician's Friend because they were the only company to actually take out a measuring tape and give me the dimensions.

I was so disappointed because I expected that this company would only sell high quality products. We gave the product a chance, returning the first for a second, and they both came apart in the first day of use.
My son needed this type case because of the lightweight and the backpack carrying ability.

Light, spacious and cheap.
The fabric is of poor quality, glued to the frame by a 5 year old blind, the strips holding the straps are coming off even with a gentle pull.
Save yourself time and money, unless all you need is a storage case, but even that maybe questionable.

My son had a similar case which was 100 times better on quality and lasted him all of 3 years till the outside plastic lining deteriorated. If this lasts out the school year we'll be lucky. The shoulder strap already ripped out within the first 2 days.
The zippers do not seem like they'll last long either unless handled with care. The only positive is the extra storage along the length which allows for a flexible file folder (not too thick mind you) and the fact that this also allows for storage of the shoulder rest which was the main reason we bought this.
The hard case violin shaped case did not have adequate storage and did not hold the shoulder rest. Not sure why they can just make the hard shell in this format ... much more functional

For a budget case, very nice. Very light, not much weight. The blanket that covers the top of the violin is flimsy, I am disappointed in that but other than that is is a nice case! Being so light in weight I may should have it as carry on lugage on air flights.

It is a good case, except for a few mishaps here and there, but if I were to recommend it to my friend, i would, but it's not like i moon over it everyday or anything...so it isn't too bad.
I liked the lightweight, but I actually used a wooden one before, which was really heavy. since i got used to THAT one, this one seemed a little TOO light. But, i like the color. Except for the fact that the strips on the inside for the bow was kind of falling off, and another thing i wasnt satisfied with was that the handle wasnt in the middle of the case, but off to one side. It kind of made it lop-sided when carrying it,
I guess it is a nice case except for only a few parts, but it kind of feels flimsy..
It wasnt too bad. Low priced was wat i needed and tht is what i got, so i am happy.
