I am just learning to play the violin. I did a lot of research before I bought this one. I have had it for about a month now, and it seems as though the instrument is just settling in. For an entry level instrument, this was a great buy. While it is not professional quality, it does project a quality sound. I was a little surprised at how well the violin resonated. The strings that come with it are cheap, but not bad. Since they have been broken in, I have to do minimal tuning when I begin to practice. While the tuning keys do not quite make up for the precise tuning of fine tuners, they do get very close. Overall, I was very pleased with this instrument.

I purchased this violin for my daughter-in-law who is a beginner. I chose this brand after researching online and discovered it is the most popular beginner's violin sold worldwide. The construction seems very adequate. The instrument sounds nice even in the hands of a beginner, especially the low end. It tunes easily and stays in tune well.
As usual, the price and delivery from Musician;s Friend was exceptional
