The product is exactly as advertised. I am satisfied and would buy this product again.
Case has several storage compartments for rosin, picks, etc. However, all pockets are small. There are external zippered pockets for flat things such as sheet music. It has two bow holders, and a removable tube for violin strings. The formed wells that hold the instruments are just barely big enough so instruments are held very securely. If and instrument might be slightly larger that standard, it won't fit. I have a Harmony F-Style mandolin that won't fit. However, my Washburn does fit. All my violins fit fine.
This case is well built, very good quality. It has a latch, snaps and zipper to secure the cover. The lining is soft so it won't scratch. Instruments are held very secure--well protected. Outer cover is very durable.
It seemed to be the best case for the money. It does the job very well and the cost was lower than most.

nice case. Good protection. weight empty is 11 1/2 lbs. It fits perfectly under the seat of a comercial jet. So there Ya have my opinion. L.S.

This case is 32"x17"x7" deep. The size of a suitcase. It holds a standard F-5 type mandolin (although it will fit some A styles) and a full-size 4/4 violin. It consists of a thin hard shell surrounded by very tough Nylon that acts as a case cover. The inside is velvet covered foam. Very similar to most light-weight cases on the market. It has three VERY SMALL accessory compartments inside and a full-size zippered 'music compartment' on the top cover. Inside this music compartment are three small pockets for extra stuff. It has a clear plastic tube to store fiddle strings, two bow holders, and a full sized blanket. There is a humidty gauge, but no humidifier to add water. Both instruments are secured by hook-and-loop straps, and the case is closed by a single latch, two heavey zippers, a hook-and-loop tab, and four heavy snap closures. Your stuff ain't goin' nowhere in this baby! There is a heavyweight handle, a very stout shoulder strap, and a strap handle on one end. Metal feet and a couple of D-Rings complete the outfit.Totally loaded with all the normal mandolin and violin accessories, it weighs in at nearly thirty five pounds, so it's not carry-on luggage.Great for mando/fiddle doublers looking to keep all their stuff in one place with solid protection, but if you're looking for compact and light think again. My only real disappointment is the very tiny accessory compartments.
