Comments about P&H FG Viola Bow with Replaceable Horsehair:

purchased 2 of these before.. to replace an oem bow which had problems with the hair tensioner screw binding.. no problems with either. 1st was stolen. not had to replace the horsehairs yet on either one. seems durable as it often got smacked around by teens.. never had it break.. and sounded good, balanced well enough.. Good replacement bow for the price.

Comments about P&H FG Viola Bow with Replaceable Horsehair:

Ok, none of the viola bows have reviews! After looking at all of the bows and being a do-it-yourselfer, I chose this one. This one looks nicer than all of the others in this price range. After my son used it a short while, the d-shaped ferrule started sliding off. Not wanting to mess anything up, I contacted the company. The owner answered, took my # and called me back within ten minutes!!! After he said he would send a new part, we had a nice conversation. With customer service like that--I ordered the new Carbon Fiber Version--Beautiful! Before the part got here, the tip of the frog broke off. I assume due to being slipped on so many times. I havn't contacted the company again because I figured I would try to fix it myself(my son had already switched to the Carbon Fiber bow). This bow was replacing a fiberglass Glasser that had dirty horsehair and another Glasser that had broke in the same place before I bought it used with the viola. I am assuming it must be some sort of common problem with all bows in that area due to the thinness of the material. I would not hesitate to buy from this company again due to outstanding stateside service!!! I will review the carbon fiber bow in the future after it has been "road tested" awhile!!! It would be great to see some other reviews of any of the bows from people just for comparison!!!
