Comments about P&H Master Class Carbon Fiber Double Bass Bow:

Just wanted to let whoever read my last review know that when I contacted the company about my bow, they had me send it back to them and then sent me a new one. Although the bow is not as strong as you might expect, the customer service experience was great.

Comments about P&H Master Class Carbon Fiber Double Bass Bow:

Only had it for 3 years and the tip broke off. I have had many bows in the past and even my cheaper wood constructed ones did not break like this. Carbon fiber is strong but I noticed it is not solid carbon fiber. There is some kind of post up the middle that the carbon fiber is wrapped around (looks like cheap plastic). Where the tip angles down to hold the hair is separate from that post up the middle and the carbon fiber around that post is about 1/16 of in inch. Super weak point in the construction. After looking at the break I am not surprised of what happened. I just regret not playing it harder in the beginning when it was under warranty. I would of asked for my money back and got something more traditional. They say it is the next 200 years of bow technology that they found (P&H). God, I hope not! Don't waste your money!

Comments about P&H Master Class Carbon Fiber Double Bass Bow:

The bow is very good looking. It even comes with a little pamphlet that gives you step by step instructions for replacing horsehair, if you're the type of person that prefers to do it yourself.

After putting some (alot!) of rosin on it and trying it out, I could instantly tell there was a difference in sound than my previous bow.

If you're an experienced bass player (you've been playing bass for like 3-4years+) and you currently play in a highschool or college level orchestra and need a new bow, this one is perfect for you.
