Looking for basic shoulder rest - this one is not adjustable to fit a "15 viola.

I wanted to give an update on the height of this rest as my Viola teacher said with the low I do not have good enough posture. So at 6'2'' maybe a medium or high may be in order but it would be best if they would list the height measurement here. As I said before they are meant to be bent for more flexibility. As is stands I went with a Kun 5/4 adjustable and like it much better.

It is about as good as any shoulder rest without height adjustment. That being said height adjustment can be a really useful feature. All in all you can't beat it for the price. I have seen some of these in use for many years. I use a low and am 6'2" with a fairly long neck. The main benefit to using a higher size is that it can be bent more to get the right contour and effectively lower or raise one side of the viola.
