Fitted bass bar; inlaid purfling; ebony pegs, tailpiece, and fingerboard; plus German maple bridge. Quality chromium steel strings with 4 axle-style fine tuners and nylon tail loop. Have had this since college. 15+ years. The tone matches older violins I've played with. I use Pro Art synthic cores. Thomastiks work as well.
I've replaced the bridge once with a german Teller, of course which is no fault of the violin, but the use of steel student strings for so long.
Again, if you can get your hands on one of these it's worth a look...Sorry mine isn't for sale.
