Attaches to any mic stand boom. Perfect for suppressing those popping 'P's.
The Musicians Gear Double Pop Filter is a pro-level split screen pop blocker that removes unwanted "P" and "B" consonant plosives by providing open space between the two screens. The first screen diffuses the air that causes plosive consonants, the open space between the screens disperses air pressure, and the pop filters second screen disperses the air and removes any remaining plosive consonants. The Musicians Gear Double Pop Filter features a sophisticated design that removes any air pressure and is very effective in filtering wind-caused plosives.

For how well it works, I'd be willing to pay more then double what you're getting it for here. To double screens to an absolutely perfect job of blocking air- blow as hard as you can and you can't feel anything coming out the other side. The other reviews were complaining about the gooseneck, but so far I haven't had any problems with it. I put it up into position 2 days ago and it hasn't moved and inch. Maybe it does move easily when you hit it, but it stays in place and for the price it's well worth it. If you're looking for a good filter, BUY THIS ONE. You can buy 3 of these for what you'd pay for a more expensive one and they'll do the job just as well.

Quality Control not up to par
The filter is useable but shoddy workmanship let it down.
Clamp works fine. Goosneck holds the filter in the correct place. Filter seems okay as long as you treat it gently.

The filter arrived with the head rattling around separately from the gooseneck. Some glue on the end of the gooseneck suggests that it should be a permanent fixture. I was able to push it on but it's wobbly and not a good fit.
It also seems as though the filter body had been dragged across a rough surface at one point - there was a wear mark. The packaging suggests that the filter was new so I suspect this was a manufacturing defect.
All in all, poor workmanship and quality control let this filter down.

Helps improve overall sound by removing pops and helping to keep moisture from the diaphragm. Well worth the investment if you're halfway serious about good quality vocals in your recordings.

Comments about Musician's Gear Double Pop Filter:
This pop filter is fantastic. It's inexpensive, and does exactly what you need it to. Don't bother spending more money on something else because I doubt that you would be upset by the results you'll see.
I'll admit that when I first ordered it I was skeptical about the double screening. I thought that maybe it would be one of those "more is better" gimmicks, but it works here. I only ordered one, but after loving what I've heard as a result to this filter's abilities, I ordered more.
I'm even impressed with the build quality. I have one of these on a mic stand that I never move, and the filter has kept it's place for weeks. The only wish I had is that the ring was made of metal, rather than plastic, but it's sturdy. You can't go wrong with a few of these!

A lot of microphones will come with a pop filter but if it doesn't you will probably need one. This one works for me just fine. I use it with an MXL 910, mainly, on a stackable mic stand(I can't remember their names). I've had no problems.

Buying another one today for a second microphone. I have been using this for the past year or so, and have NEVER gotten a plosive past it, even when consciously trying to do so. Even after that year of use, the gooseneck is strong, so the filter stays where I put it, even when moving the mic stand around. I haven't had any mechanical failures or malfunctions. The clamp is plastic on the screw side, and foam padded on the other side, so no damage to mic stand, and no moving around on the stand. The price is very reasonable, but even if money were no object, I would STILL buy this pop filter.

Comments about Musician's Gear Double Pop Filter:
this item is vital to all aspects of music recording that is, this pop filter is doubled i seen that alot are single so the more wind screens the better, and this product is a good example and it proves its-self well, i only rated this product a 4 out of 5 because the goose neck is abit difficult, i found it stubborn unlike alot of pop filters i've used when you want to bend it into a position that suits your voice and how close you like to have your mouth up on the mic, the goose neck on this item doesn't stay so much as most of the signal wind screened pop filters do, but double is better then single this gives the harsh-ness and the air more to travel through then less to travel through witch in the long run only prevents the air from your voice less of a chance to disrupt your vocals in your mix and in your recording as well, so this product is very good you should buy it :)

I use this for my home studio, but it is as good as anything I have ever used in any pro studio anywhere. I was skeptical of the double screen as being a "more-is-better" kind of hype, but it really works. I have not even thought about any problems since this purchase. I am honestly being as neutral and unbiased as possible.

First pop filter bought for my husband and I really think it is a great one to own. He hopes to become partially pro one day.

Comments about Musician's Gear Double Pop Filter:
I bought two of these about a year ago during the 4th of July sales week and I have to say it's probably one of the cheapest improvements to my home studio rig that I've put money into.
I use these on many types of instrument recording sessions outside of just vocals. I have a tube guitar amp that has a lot of "speaker bark", and as such it has a tendency to rapidly change in SPL depending on the artist's playing dynamics. I used to get clipping in some otherwise great takes as a result of this, so I put one of these in front of my condenser mic. I was very impressed. No more clipping and I was able to keep the clarity and volume dynamics without risking damage to my equipment.
These are also nice for brass and woodwind instruments where similar rise/drops in SPL is a concern. You can physically watch the super-stretch fabric on these move when a trumpet player blasts a note into the mic. (Which if you're wondering is exactly what it's supposed to do.)
This pop filter will also help greatly if you have a vocalist that tends to spit on occasion (gross, I know, but I've seen it happen), and it will save a lot of cleanup for your mics.
These come in plastic resealable bags and have a very solid metal "goose-neck" design so that you can contort them any strange way that your heart desires.
To sum this all up, GET AT LEAST ONE OF THESE! They're cheap, they solve a lot of issues within any recording setting, and as such they're a worthy investment. Highly recommended.
