BUT I HAVE A SOLUTION!!! Look, if you've already made the mistake of buying the thing, there is something that can be done about it. Get some pliers and a vice and lock the clamp in the vice while tightening the gooseneck into the bolt on the clamp. Hopefully you can tighten it so much that it locks with the thread (use thread-lock solution for a more permanent stick) and the bolt will rotate in the slot on the clamp. I hope that helps!
Sure, the filter screen itself stops some sibilance, but everything else is a nightmare.
The gooseneck often won't hold its own weight. The clamp has to attach to bizarre spots on a stand, but won't hold tight enough to be placed on a microphone stand-sized pole without sliding down to face the floor. And the worst part of all is where the clamp meets the gooseneck.
Typically you have to adjust the pop-filter to be placed in front of a microphone, which often requires turning. However, if you rotate the gooseneck counter-clockwise, it begins to unscrew from the clamp instead of rotating with a small amount of resistance, like a fully adjustable pop-filter should. At the studio I work at, they've jerry rigged theirs to lock into the bolt in the clamp and make the bolt rotate when turned instead of coming unscrewed, but the product I received in my home studio straight out of the box is very stubborn. You don't pay for the practical, functioning product that you're promised.

      Gives plastic a bad name!

      By JohnJohn-nKrLa

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

I purchased this On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter to replace my homemade version in my home studio. Now normally I see no point in "piling on" when other reviews so adequately state the truth, but in this case, this product is so bad I must make an exception. The actual filter seems to be quite good, but the adjustable arm that stays adjusted up to the time you turn it loose - and the clamp are worthless. I would think that in the case of pop filter design it would be so easy even a caveman could do it, but obviously there were none around when this one was designed. I own a lot of great On-Stage gear but this pop filter is a complete waste of time, plastic, and money!

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

This seems like a good buy, but it's price is lower for a reason. The clip is a joke, and doesn't hold. Even if you are able to get a good grip, the arm is just as faulty. You are much better off saving a few extra dollars and buying a legitimate piece of equipment. I would have rated everything at .5, but considering there is an actual pop filter attached at the end, i figure it's still a "feature"._Final Verdict_This pop filter is completely worthless. You could make the old DIY "hanger and stockings" before having this thing set up and ready to use.

      Not a flexible pop filter

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

I have encountered the same problem that others have. The gooseneck is too short and doesn't stay in position. Once you get it in place, it does the job but it's not worth the time. Plus, the clamp is useless. But one with a screwdown type clamp.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

Well, this thing just won't move. exactly as mentioned before, it just pops right back into place once adjusted. You basically would have to rig up some elaborate system using bubble gum, pulleys, duct tape, and MacGyver, to make it work.

      Garbage! Trash! Worthless!

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

I think the title says it all. This thing doesn't articulate at all. It doesn't rotate. What looks like a flexible, bendable tube turns out to be more like a pole that just goes back to where it wants after you try to bend it into place. Uh, just don't buy it.

yup, same problems as everyone else: won't stay where you put it. Not sure how they thought it would be useful if you can't make it stay in one place.

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

This filter is a piece of garbage. I took it apart and there is absolutely nothing inside the tube that bends, thats why it doesn't stay where you want it to. I got a Nady pop filter that was much better than this, also it had two layers of mesh to prevent pop, the Nady is a good deal.

In order to get the best out of this pop filter you have to play with it to get it where you want it. Overall an okay pop filter...My advice...find a better one before you get this one.

      Not very good

      By wofungla

      from Lititz, PA

Comments about On-Stage Stands Microphone Pop Filter:

The clip on the filter I received is barely strong enough to hold the weight of the filter. It barely holds it to a mic stand. I am going to exchange it for a filter with a better (I hope) clamp.
