Chinese made copy of the classic KT66. Great sounding - one step down from the KT66HP, but less money too.
New and exclusive GT design. An exact copy of legendary Gold Lion "valve" from the Eric Clapton "Blues Breaker" Marshall combo. Big fat bottom, crisp highs, very warm and a springboard response that make playing fun again! Highly recommended for Fender type amps.
Classically designed with warm overdrive and soft distortion character. Chinese made copy of the old USA 6V6 we loved in our old Deluxe Reverbs. Round, warm, fat tone with lower power put great for a soft blues tone or great fat classic rock sound too.
Country of origin: China

Comments about Groove Tubes Gold Series GT-KT66-C Matched Power Tubes:
Overall the Groove Tubes KT66 is a solid Output tube, which they did a very good job of making look like the original MOV tube. Its a great tube in an old style Marshall or HI WATT, or In a 60 watt Fender or Music man built for 6L6GC types. Great HI-FI tubes as well.
This is the KT66 that is the stock tube in Marshall Vintage Modern amps. Its a Shaugang tube. I dont care for most of the Chinese tubes ive used. They dont seem to reflect the practices of manufacturers who particularlly care if the end user of thier prducts get good results or not..As with most Chinese manufacturing volume and cost are the only concerns. For new manufacture tubes i use New Sensor, SED or JJ only. That said, if you are going to buy Chinese tubes, then the larger Power tubes tend to perform much better than their small signal tubes (especially the really big Triodes like the 807). Where i have used these KT66 tubes, and would use them again, i have used Shaugang and Sino 12AX7, 6V6,EL84, 6L6 and EL34 tubes and i wont be using any of them again. As for the Groove Tubes Label, they are owned by Fender Musical Instrument Company now, not Aspen Pittman. So whatever hang ups you may have had with the character Pittman and his style, thats a thing of the Past.
Good Quality tubes
KT66 Are expensive. The Best New made KT66 after this one is probably the New Sensor Gold Lion(which I use now) and they are almost twice as expensive.
