The A Designs Audio ATTY (rhymes with "Patty") is a economical, no-noise, compact unit for controlling your audio level. ATTY can be connected to any audio system requiring output gain control, giving you additional power over your sound environment.

The ATTY is easy to use and seamless to connect. It is a convenient solution for controlling audio from a variety of sources. It features dual audio ins and outs, a level control knob, and a mute button.

ATTY Volume Attenuator -- Major Shortcoming

Comments about A Designs ATTY Volume Attenuator:

I needed to be able to control mic volume from a location away from the main mixer and the ATTY Volume Attenuator seemed to be the answer. It is well-built, but it has a serious shortcoming. The volume control has a useful sweep of about only 30 degrees. All other positions of the control are zero volume. So the working range on a control of this size is about one-quarter of an inch! Might as well be an on/off switch. There is a mute switch which would be useful if it were not redundant. Has neutrik inputs; why not neutrik outputs? Also, separate volume pots for each channel would greatly increase the units usefulness. I think customers would not mind paying extra for these features. As is, the unit is somewhat pricey for what it purports to do. There did not seem to be any noise introduced to the signal. If only the volume control functioned. I will probably send this one back and wait for (hope for) an upgraded version.
Neutrik outs and dual volume pots would be a welcome upgrade.
Well-built. Compact.
Somewhat pricey in its present configuration.

Not a good powered monitor level control device

Comments about A Designs ATTY Volume Attenuator:

This unit will not keep your stereo image in tact. It works as dual mono, but for stereo imaging, you have to go with something stepped or better quality. My meters jump left and right as I move the volume control, using top-rated sine wave generator. The signal will be flat at some points of the volume control movement, but mostly not. Otherwise, for dual-mono applications the ATTY unit works fine.
