awesome acoustic mic for violin/guitar/piano/vocals/ whatever, very warm. reduces pop and hiss. easy to use.
We use this mic to pick up the background of our a cappella group. Sound is great - full and rich with plenty of dynamic headroom - pickup pattern is even, and it sounds good even at a distance of 4 feet. Plus I'm not afraid to bring it everywhere since it didn't break the bank to buy it. Great buy.
Almost as good as higher priced mics. I would recommend this mic to anyone that is on a tight budget.
I have two of these in my studio and love them. I am no stranger to great sounding mics. For the price, I might just buy a few more of these just to have them in case I should need an extra. Sure, there are much better mics out there, but for the money, this mic is very versatile. I've been working in the music industry as a Pro for about 20 years and been playing music my entire life. Trust me, it wouldn't hurt to have at least one of these around for recording or even playing live.
I have purchased two of these mics. Excellent for vocals. I tried using one in an Indian Kirtan group and that did not work so well because it picked up other instruments (its true they were only two feet away!). In my acoustic group I use it for a vocal mic and I have been extremely impressed with the sound. I also use the mics for recording and am pleased with the clean, clear sound that I get from them.
This is made in Austia, I'm getting 2 more to add to the 2 I have. Great mics, live up to all it's promised to do, works great into my Korg MR-1000 These sound super clean, can take high SPL, solid made, no Chinese. Toxic cloned crap, this is the real deal. Super fidelity, for a mortal price...
I have owned this microphone for 1-1/2 years and have not found a fault with it. It produces clear, beautiful vocals and a nice guitar track. You will not go wrong with this microphone.
I practicesinging with this mic. It's great for the money. I have borrowd it from a friend and don't want to give it back. I will soon buy my own.
If you are starting your project studio mic collection start with this and an Sure SM57. It will record any source well and most sources extreemly well. I have owned mine for ten years and am looking and adding another.
I use this mic primarily for vocals, and have found no fault in it. You could get better, but for much higher prices. For the price, this mic is the best you can buy!
First experience with a quality condenser mic and I love it. Well actually, it is so accurate, it confirms that I need way more practice. It reproduces vocals, banjo and various percussion beautifully.
I have 2 C3000's and have used them for horns, strings, vocals, drums- they do everything, and do it well! The variable patterns, frequency responses, and other features make having these mics like having dozens of mics in 1 package
I have not used any other mic in this price range that's better or even as good. A great buy. Run it through a tube-pre and it sounds as good as mics that are twice as much (or more).
This mic is great for recording, sound is rich and full. Yes, it is a bit high priced for some of you guys out there on a low budget, but this mic is worth it, once you combine this mic with a good soundcard, preamp and good cables. The quality will be great! Get this mic!
This is an awesome mic for the money, and that's why I'm giving it a high score. But, to be very picky, these are the two things that I wish were a little better: 1. Out of all the c3000b's that I own it's hard to come up with a perfect stereo pair - the difference in sound is a bit more than I would like. 2. I get pretty good clarity and detail from this mic, and yet there is an urge to mess around with EQ's when you mix in order to get rid of this 'muddy' feeling that you get from it. 3. I don't find it satisfactory at all when using the 6dB low-frequency cut feature - takes all the life out of the sound if you record acoustic instruments.
It's a really good mic, but the M-audio nova is 3 times cheaper and it has a better sound over all. So I think this is overpriced!
very versatile and when paired with good cables produces a sound like a microphone that costs twice as much
