these are good compact mics. Good sound quality and excellent durability. goes good with the akg c418's and d112 on the kick.
We use these mics as overheads on our drum kit. The clarity on the cymbals is awesome! Our plan was to get a full kit, but these mics pick up all the pieces on our drum set so well that we are recondsidering. These mics are an excellent value.
I was worried to buy these things at first because I figured that they were too cheap to sound good. Not the case. They were ready to go right out of the box. The only thing you have to do is spend a few minutes to figure out how to position them. Make sure they're high enough, otherwise the cymbals (especially the hi-hats) will sound tingy. Great mics though, you won't be disappointed.
These mics are incredible for the money. Unlike some mics the frequency response is great. What you hear is what you played. No midrange junk, and plenty of highs for a nice overhead sound without being to thin.
These little mics put out a BIG sound. They are very good room/overhead mics possessing good frequency response.I use them for acoustic guitars and percussion. I normally prefer the C451's but they are expensive. These little guys sound almost as good.
This is a great mic. I use 2 of them for overheads in a project studio and also for acoustic guitars. Top notch at low notch price.
It's all you need for over-head mics. Also does pretty well on pianos.
