Comments about AKG C519M Miniature Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

I bought AKG C 519 to replace my C 419, which I had used for years without issues. Though the C 519 has great sound, the clamp used on this model is not as good as on previous model. The rubber used on the newer clamp is very slippery, almost oily rubber, causing the clamp to slip off by itself very easily. I had to apply friction tape on my Bodhran, Irish drum to keep the microphone in place.

Comments about AKG C519M Miniature Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

This mic is a great improvement over older AKG C series mics, in that the detachable cable is a lot tougher. I had two older "C"s that quit working because of the cable from the mic to the adaptor to make it XLR.

    Excellent

Comments about AKG C519M Miniature Cardioid Condenser Microphone:

I use it the last two months on clarinet, combining it with a TAR pick-up and the result is great. Because in the music style we play clarinet is the leading instrument I need the best sound. Warm natural sound comes from the bell. I use it in live performing but I think it would be also great in studio. Very useful because you can move freely. I think the top microphone for clarinet
