The AKG DW1000 HT Hand-Held Wireless System shares components and circuitry with more costly AKG systems, meaning you get a premium level of performance for less cash. Receiver is equipped with highly selective SAW filters for excellent interference immunity and has both balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs. DW 1000 hand-held transmitter uses a D 880 microphone element for brilliant, uncolored vocal reproduction and provides 35 hours of operation from one AA battery. Optional rackmount kit.

Advanced filters and well-designed companding circuitry delivers excellent transient response to accurately deliver each note and all overtones. UHF fixed-frequency (710-865 mHz) design for simple plug-and-play operation.

Purchased this microphone figuring it might be a great value for the price & after seeing the high rating. Used it once upon receiving it & it worked very well. Put it away until the spring when "cruise" season began & found that the on/off switch would not work properly. It would start to turn on & immediately turn off. Should have purchased a high quality mic instead.
It's a pretty decent mic for the price. But one hard drop will break the mic. But that goes for any AKG product. This definitely isn't the mic to take on the road.
This is an exceptional mic for the money. I have had five wireless mics (all professional quality) and none compare with the AKG. I haven't had any feedback problems. The range and vocal quality are outstanding. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended. I gave it a 9 only because I believe there are no 10's but this is about as close as it gets.
I have 3 shure wireless mics and I got 2 of these for my back up singers, wow they sound great as good as my mics that cost 3 or 4 times the cost of this one. And with the long life AA batteries (way better than the 9 volts) it is a great deal.I only wish they had it in more frequencies, I would buy 2 more now.
I had a singer using this wireless mic at a 60th anniverary luncheon in a realitively small room(resturant size). As the singer performed, she stood about only 25 feet away line of site from the transmitter. At that distance the mic had static noise and the vocal reproduction was terrible. Patience is everything! Get a top-of-the-line mic system. Either save your money up or put it on lay-a-way, and don't settle for the embarassment of this worthless AKG DW1000 HT.
I pastor a church and we use wireless microphones for our ministry. I purchased this to try it out because it seemed like a great value. I was kind of sceptical because of the price but was pleasantly surprised. It is a quality product at an unbeatable price. It sounds much fuller and richer than our Audio Technica wireless which cost us more. In my opinion this mic is the best value I have ever seen in a wireless. Also with 2 AA batteries it is more economical to use than others. I wish it came in a lavalier model for this price.
