I purchased these headphones with full price and not under any deals. Still am so satisfied and happy with this product. It gives an amazing detail of the sound which i didnt experience with any others in similar or slightly higher priced ones. I use these hours together in my journeys and never felt any discomfort on my ears... A bit more punchy bass would have been an added plus, but nothing beats its trebles...

I tested these out on a recording I had of full band setting, with audience, captured on wide separation condenser mic's. Suddenly, I'm hearing stuff I didn't get thru my speakers ( granted, not a studio quality system ), like backround noise, room ambient, etc. I could pick out bass register parts even with 2 guitars and a piano cranked to beyond 10. Some phones are bassy, some too treble-y, these are pretty flat across spectrum. Hey, I'm no Quincy Jones, but they get my thumbs up, for what thats worth!
Nice,comfortable feel.Not heavy.Great sound reproduction.Cord is fabric covered so as not to kink , with a good length. Plugs are gold, with screw-on adapter.The foam ear pieces come out for cleaning. The only feature it might be lacking is a plug in on the headphone end of cord, to prevent damage when you've wandered off a little to far.
Build seems to be up to snuff. I havent owned them for years, but I expect to,
Good old MF made me a stupid deal of the day I could not refuse. I was waiting for a deal on Sennheiser MD-280's, when this fell into my lap. So, for less than the 280's, I got a set worth twice as much ( going by $ amount alone, not knocking the 280's ).

Overall just very happy to find something that gives me a true "on-air" sound in the studio. Last pair lasted nearly 30 years because I couldn't find a pair of headphones that sounded clear enough for me. Everything I tried just had way too much bass. Over the years I have lost some of the "highs" in my hearing because of playing in bands and doing radio. I needed a pair of phones that didn't have too much high end but still produced a sound that represented a clear vocal conversation. These "cans" did it. Finally happy to retire my Project One's.
Well fitting. Never get tired of them on.
They look flimsy but they are alot stronger than they look.
They were on sale and what a bargain. Tried many headphones more expensive but these beat them all.

If you get them for a good price.
The sound is very nice. The rating depends on the price you pay for these. If you are able to get them on a special offer, I think that you will be pleased with the sonic detail. I have read a professional review which claimed that the separation of frenquencies was no up to the best phones. May be true, but for the price, IMO, a good buy, and better sound than phones I purchased 5-10Y ago, at a similar price point.
These are open phone. I like the sound from a good open head phone. It is different than a closed phone, and I prefer it, as long as there is no ambient noise.
If you get a good price on them.

These headphones sound great, and are the most comfortable 'phones I've ever owned. This is the first time I have been able to wear headphones for hours without getting uncomfortable. The sound is top notch as well. I got these for cheap on a Stupid Deal of the Day, so I'm very pleased all the way 'round.
Two ears cups, a headband and a wire. Very comfortable earcups and headband, even adjusts to my big head..
Fit and finish is great, and the fabric-covered wire is a nice touch. The sound quality is outstanding.
I think these are a very good value even at the regular price.

Overall a keeper. These folding headsets at comfortable and sound good. Purchased at stupid deal of the day prices I'm very satisfied with the headset.
Comfortable and good sounding headphones. They work well with multiple sets of equipment both mobile (iPhone and iPad) as well as plugged into my computer and stereos. The sound response is very good with a fairly flat profile. They do provide good bass but it is balanced with the rest of the specturum. I've worn them for hours and have no pressure spots or hot ears.
The build quality is less than I expected from an AKG set. Given that I use AKG pro headsets at work for video and sound production and given the "retail" price of these headsets they didn't live up these expectations. The quality however @ the greatly reduced price I paid for them is decent.
They are a good value at stupid deal of the day prices. I would not be satisfied had I paid full price for them and would have sent them back. Not due to the comfort, or sound quality both are very good, but the build quality just isn't up to my expectations.

Got as a stupid deal after my son broke my much more expensive pair. Got there as a stand in until I could get around to a better pair. Was amazed by there. Totally not what I expected. These are probably one of the best pairs of phones I've owned.
Nice length to chord. Doesn't work with all of my adapters, some seem to only get a mono signal. Also I have kind of a large head and the phones don't adjust quite big enough. But the clarity is AWESOME and the ear pieces are comfortable.
So far seems very good. No complaints
Better than expected.

Overall, amazing!
These headphones are simply amazing. I have incredibly sensitive ears, easily start aching when big headphones are pushing on them. These go around my ears and are incredibly comfortable. And their sound and frequency response are INCREDIBLE. I've never appreciated the low frequencies in most of my records the way I do with these. At first, things sounded 'bassy,' until I realized that all my other headphones had just been leaving out most of the deep low-end. Now my ears are retuned' to these ACCURATE headphones, and I really appreciate sonic balance now.
I got them on the stupid deal of the day, so I really stole them!
