Standard package - headphones and 1/4"" adapter. Wo uld've been nice to have a pouch but no big deal.
Sound quality is fantastic! I got them for recording/jamming/listening to extreme metal and they are great. Great bass and most importantly", great clarity! Also extremely loud. The only reason I gave it an 8 is because the construction feels like it'd be easy to break. Lightweight though and extremely comfortable
Best headphones I've heard for the price just wish the construction was tougher.

I just got these because they are very affordable and had great reviews. However i am very disappointed with these AKG K99's... They do have "good" sound quality, however they sound muffled. it is like the bass/low end is turned way to far up. It takes away from a true audio experience. They are very comfortable, they dont squeeze too tight or feel too heavy.
My advice is to stick with Sennheiser.

I just got these because they are very affordable and had great reviews. However i am very disappointed with these AKG K99's... They do have "good" sound quality, however they sound muffled. it is like the bass/low end is turned way to far up. It takes away from a true audio experience. Great sound. My daughter loves them for her animashing, editing and listening to music.
They sit a little tall like a set of deer antlers but if you are not vain then who cares as they are very comfortable. There are better headphones but in this price range these are the best I have heard.

I purchased these as a gift for my teenage daughter. She had tried other pricier headphones and wasn't impressed. After trying these on Christmas day, not only did I get a hug from her, but she also apologized for doubting my ability to purchase headphones. Bought these with an amp package that was sold as "for recording use." Unfortunately the open ear design allows sound (especially click/rhythm track) to be picked up by the mic during recording.
To be fair.. the headphones had great sound quality. They are just not suited for recording so I returned them. Two weeks later I'm still waiting on credit.

Good headphones that do not break your pockets is something that seems a bit of a rarity. I've owned numerous consumer headphones and a pair or two of nicer ones (some Sennheiser something or anothers) these blow everything I've previously owned out of the water. They are accurate and comfortable to wear. A lot of headphones color the sound by "enhancing" it, which leaves you with inaccurate monitoring but not these. The AKG K99 give a damn good result to the listener. My only complaint is that they are 1/8" for mp3 players and what not but it does come with a 1/4" adapter. Usually I can't stand these and break the adapter within the first week but it seems sturdy enough for battle. Why can't they just leave the 1/8" jacks out of the picture? I will never know but yes, I've rambled long enough about nothing, just buy these if you are looking for a less than $100 pair of headphones. Say word son.
