I wanted to go wireless because I like to be very mobile on stage and this system was the best choice I could have made on my budget. The range is amazing, when I got it I tried getting far enough away from it to where it would no longer get a signal to the amp. I could get far enough away to where I could barely hear the amp somewhere outside of our studio and it still had a perfect signal with no interference. Before I ordered mine I e-mailed AKG about which model to get and the representative was very helpful looking up other TV stations etc. that might be broadcasting a signal that would interfere with a particular model and then he made the recommendation. Overall this is a very nice system and the most bang for the buck of any wireless unit I have seen.
I recently bought this system and it was an excellent choice. I was torn between this and the Sennheiser system, and this one (mainly because of the great price) is the one that I obviously chose. It's a great product, and not only that it came with a wireless lavelier mic, and a regular mic as well. Awesome.
Range is real good on it. Adds a little high end to guitar tone. No Interference problems. Would not be afraid to use it on a big stage. Simple to use. It just has a volume knob on the front. Can adjust the squelch on the back. After 2 hours use you could notice a little signal loss from battery power wearing down.
This system is great. The range is awesome (about 300 feet with obstructions). If the sound crackles or cuts off I haven't heard it and most of the time I'm closer to the stage than the people listening. Don't worry about interference. That only happens if someone has the exact frequency. A frequency of 1234.5 would not interfere with 1234.6. All companies are given certain frequencies. This system is worth more than what it's priced.
This is a great unit for the price. It worked right out of the box with very little manual reading. I'm not a pro, but it's wonderful to be cord-less. I don't notice any change from corded to cord-less. I dropped the transmitter from my guitar strap to the tile floor the other night, and it still works.
exellent sound the best that you can get from a wireless product i highly recommended to every one
Works well, doesn't seem to color sound very much.Drives preamp well, may need to change volume output when going from passive to active pickup guitars.Reciever could be built a little more sturdy, when installing feet on it, slide in from back, do not try to snap directly in.
this AKG wireless is the best choice, in a very reasonable price range. the signal reception is very good. i love to use this system.
I love this thing so much. I can walk about half way down my block without loosing the signal. It will cut out on occasion for split seconds, but if you put the receiver in a high spot and not like on the florr this rare occasion doesn't happen at all. This is deffinitly the best wireless system for the money and I love the freedom I now enjoy playing both at shows and in my basement. Its way better then the low level NADY stuff. Way better quality. My bass player is going to buy one too since it works for both guitar and bass. I'd reccomend it to anyone.
It's a pretty good system overall. My only complaint about it is that it is a very fragile piece of equipment. Being made out of a plastic does make it very tough but I'm sure if it is taken care of it will be fine. I personally spent some extra money and bought a carrying case for it. It's a good investment.
