Faulty Drivers

Well I had the 8 input version of this product for about a day. I bought this product with high hopes in a mixing board style interface. I was severely disappointed when the drivers never worked. I even installed the drivers from the website to make sure everything was updated. But towards the end I called Alesis and was only told sorry and good luck. Luckily I bought the product from musicians friend and was able to return it with no hassle.

best bang for buck

I had the smaller imix8. Not enough inputs for all my mics, this one does practice straight to ipod. Love all the the trick able to record our bands features: sliders instead of knobs, plenty of outs for any situation also the limiter button is great for keeping noisy things in order. Haven't really did much with enclosed software but will probably in time.

Not All The Hype

Well I bought this planning to record myself for a project and decided to get this product because I could record straight to my computer, well the usb drivers sucked and didn't want to even read in the cubase software that came with the thing. I am still not able to record with the darn thing. I asked Alesis but all they can do is troubleshoot and say sorry. Don't Buy Alesis whatever you do!!!

Best thing to get for its price

I am an actice musician and i also do live sound almost every week. The mixer is definitly kicking and has been great so far. Its ability to function as both a live sound and recording mixer gives it a diversity. I will admit getting the software to work at first was difficult but you just gotta know what you are doing. The built in special effects is a highlight of the mixer alot of cool stuff in there.
