I have owned these speakers for about a year. I have disregarded the USB feature, although it is a handy tool. Instead, I have it hooked up to my Duet recording interface. These Speakers are really handy by making it really easy to multi task with. For example, I currently have these speakers hooked up to my computer, keyboard and turntable. For the price I couldn't have asked for more. Thanks Alesis !
After reading the description, and seeing how great the price could be, I was like, wow these sound great. My main concern was having a good bass boost, which is says it does, but it really doesn't. Sure the design is cool and the white it awesome if your a mac person, and the sound is pretty clear, but really my $30 speakers were better. I think the reason why the price is so much higher is because the features of the sound card inside the monitor and the ability to record right into it-which is great, but I wanted the speaker more than the mini interface it has...I don't think I can return them, but I don't have enough to buy REAL monitors. so I guess this is what you get for the price. I recommend them if you cant afford other ones, but Id save up, definitely.
