Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

Out of the over 200 settings for reverb I find only about 10 that are really usefull reverbs. Most of the other 190 are too weird and uneccessary for my use. I use the few reverb sounds to dub over my cd backing tracks with my instrument. Should have pruchased a smaller reverb box.

Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

After over 6 months of testing in different PA's live, and studio. I have come to the conclusion that the Microverb 4 was a waste of my time and money. No matter what the situation and equipment involved, this piece of equipment adds too much noise/hum to the system if you actually want to hear the affected signal. I should have spent more on a better signal processor and will.

Alesis Microverb 4 review

Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

This is a fantastic piece of equipment for the money. Not extremely sophisticated but enough to suit my needs (and then some), and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. It is exactly what I need.

Alesis MocroVerb4

By Gary Stevens - GS Custom Guitars

from Las Cruces, New Mexico

Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

A great product for guitar, bass, vocals or as an 'effects send' unit for the overall mix in a live situation. A solo act might want to get two; one for guitar and one for vocals.
I've owned this unit for more than 5 years. It has a wide variety of effects logically arranged in catagories for easy use. Many of the grouped effects are subtly different, with several parameter adjustments for each. Effect names are very descriptive, like "big, dark, scary castle reverb" , "bright, dense vocal plate" and "huge chorus multieffect for huge rock guitar". The controls are intuitive and responsive. The only shortcoming is the lack of ability to use more than one effect at a time. The 200 effects will keep you busy.
I have not had a single problem in over 5 years. This thing is built solidly. I have it in a rack. I did add a front panel power switch for convenience, as there is no power switch on the front or back panels.
For the money, you could not ask for more. This unit compared to other effect units costing a lot more. The effects, especially the reverbs and plates, are pristine; suitable for acoustic guitars, vocals or full shred electrics.

MicroVerb 4 Review

By Robert Jones

from Houston, Tx.

Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

...
I've owned this processor for the last decade. It's pretty solid with it's FX. The two parameters allows more than enough. It's important to note that this unit is very sensitive. Before shows, I'd have to mark the rotary's for different settings of different songs with different color tape.

After 10 years of consistantly using this equipment, my input rotary has caused me some problems. But I keep it in the rack because the FX are just so real.

The LEDs work great, however I wish there was a yellow indicator bar instead of just going from green/ red. The flange/ chorus' are mighty and the multiFX are something you can burn cars with.

I've dropped it a few times and the rack has even been tossed around in a wreck when the trailer flipped on the highway... Few scratches... no dents and it still holds up!

Nice reverb

Comments about Alesis Microverb 4 Signal Processor:

Pulling this out of the closet I am suprised how much better it sounds than the reverbs I've been using in my computer. Stuff thats supposed to be good like Lexicon, Sonitus, and other plug-ins. But man, this sounds so much more real and lush. It's great live too. A huge improvement over the built in reverb in my mixer.
