120W, 2-way active monitor provides outstanding clarity, imaging, and transient response with tight and visceral bass. The exceptional custom LF driver features a cast frame, a stiff 8" Kevlar cone, and an oversized magnet assembly that provides high linearity and good efficiency. Excellent shielding allows it to be used in close proximity to CRTs, perfect for computer-based studios. Biamplified power provides 80W to the woofer and 40W to the ferrofluid-cooled, 28mm silk-dome tweeter. Distortion is typically below 0.3% over its operating range. A bicolor LED on the front baffle indicates power-on when green and amplifier clipping when red. Frequency response: 50Hz—20kHz ±1.5dB.

I just purchased this monitor for mixing. I do Hip Hop and Reggeaton music. And after mixing the bass was right where I need it to be. I love this monitor and I'm purchasing a second one to complete my studio.
Get these monitors. I was under the impression that I would get 2 monitors because thats the way they are pictured so I bought it, once I got it and plugged it in I was hooked and ordered the second one. They are fabulous, clear, percise, powerful, for the price you can't go wrong especially if these are the only monitors you have, I highly recommend them.
The ProLinear 820s are by far the most accurate monitors I have owned. The fact that they are really "mid-field" monitors instead of "near-field" lets me hear more sound from the speakers and less from the room resulting in a better translation outside of the studio. You should definitely own a pair. I use them as my primary monitors for all my work.
- Sound Great But Not Loud
- Requires Xlr Hook Up
unfortunately none of my signal flow has 3-pin output for monitoring, so I've had to use XLR transformers so as to hook up XLR style speaker cables made for such purposes. Unfortunately this causes all sorts of Mexican Transistor Radio type of signals at times and I've never found a way around this. I will have to try SPEAKON connectors I suppose? It was NOT stated at all - when I ordered these - that special connx are necessary
