Topnotch 12-channel, 16-input compact onstage monitor mixer.

Allen & Heath's WZ3 12M is an easy-to-use compact mixer for on-stage monitoring. The growth of personal headphone monitoring has led to a huge increase in demand for mixers with multiple stereo mix outputs. Wizard Monitor has been developed to embrace modern on-stage mixing, and joins the GL2800M in Allen & Heath's successful monitor desk range. The mixer allows musicians to easily control their own mixes on stage, while the mixer will also be at home in rehearsal rooms and studios.

6 stereo mixes or 12 mono wedge outputs - or a combination of mono and stereo - are fed from 16 mono mic/line inputs. The mixer features the crystal-clear WZ3 preamplifier, passive microphone splitter and 4-four band EQ, with all mix masters on faders and color-coded in pairs for easy identification.

    There is no comparison!

Comments about Allen & Heath WZ3 12M Mix Wizard Monitor Mixer:

If you need these features, you will not regret buying this. Short of a major crash or fire, this should last a career. I've had good luck with A&H since I could afford to move up from Behringer.
Literally, there is no other dedicated monitor mixer that directly compares. Try to find one in this format, with 12 outs, with useful engineer features, with this quality, rack-mountable, etc. I bought one to use for a band that was all in-ears (mixed on stage), and, when we provided the sound system, we just sent a pair of the mix outs to the mains. Since I've stopped playing live, I've used this in the studio for extra mic pres to the DAW, and for parallel compression and various busses. Very flexible, very useful.
It also has an internal power supply (and provisions for a back-up supply if you tend to have too much anxiety and money.)
Unlike the experience of another reviewer, mine worked out of the box and has never had any problems. I've used it for almost five years. It seems to be built like a tank.
This is the most expensive MixWiz by far, but it is unique, and I doubt they will sell a lot of them, so the price is painful without being unreasonable.

    This mixer is GREAT!!!

Comments about Allen & Heath WZ3 12M Mix Wizard Monitor Mixer:

I've been using the Allen & Heath MixWizard3 16x12 monitor mixer for two years in a fixed Church installation and have had ZERO problems with it. We use this to run a combination of IEMs and Spot monitors. The built-in mic splitter allows us to insert this onstage before feeding the FOH snake and have complete control over all the mics/instruments for the monitor system. That feature alone is all the reason you need to choose this mixer. We use the Insert jacks for running compressor/limiters on some of the mic/instrument channels for the benefit of the IEMs. Twelve mono channels are paired so they can be switched to stereo channels. But mono works great. We run 7 monitors and use the extra channels to feed a live digital recorder. The compact rack mount design is packed with all the features you need to run a dedicated matrix of 16 inputs and up to 12 monitor channels. It's designed for a specific role and performs it flawlessly. It's very compact and efficient. I still mix the drums on separate sub-mixer...otherwise, we'd need a min. 24-channel board with at least 8 aux send and sub-groups, which would get way out of our price range for this quality of sound. Plus, I mix the monitors from behind the drum kit, so there's no room for a wide-format mixer.Overall, this thing is quiet and accurate... If there is even a hint of hum, which is usually from an open cord inserted into a direct box or an un-muted wireless mic channel that is not turned on, I get the head whip and stares. Our old system had a base-line of noise that made such things inaudible before. The only down-side is now that everyone has their own noise-free, high-quality mix, how spoiled all the musicians have become!

Comments about Allen & Heath WZ3 12M Mix Wizard Monitor Mixer:

When I decided to make the jump to an IEM system for my band, i discovered that there are not many choices as far as a dedicated mixer with a built in split and numerous sends. My only real option was the Allen & Heath WZ3 12M Mix Wizard Monitor. After waiting for a 2 month back order, I recieved one that didn't work properly (all 12 send channels were dead). I just recieved my second unit, which didnt even power on, completley dead out of the box.
