OVERVIEW

Superior weaponry.

From inputs to outputs, this is one powerful battle scratch mixer. The crossfader is a deluxe Penny & Giles VCA reversible design. The faders have contour controls, and they can all be easily replaced by removing the steel faceplate. The fader area is kept clear for action, and controls like pan and EQ are out of the way on low-profile sliders. Even the transform switches can be rotated to work the way you like them.

2 Dual Stereo Channels

Channels have RIAA [RCA] inputs, switchable to line, plus stereo line level inputs [RCA], each with gain control. Powerful 3-band EQ on sliders. High-quality 45mm faders. Input reverse switch for battle mixing. Pre-fade monitoring on 12-segment 3-color peak reading bar meters.

Mic Channel

2 XLR inputs with separate gain controls, on switch, and 3-band EQ with HPF. Routes direct to mix outputs. FX insert on button.

Stereo Mix Outputs

Balanced mix outputs on XLR with multipoint VCA level master control. The mix output level can be displayed on the 12-segment 3-color peak reading bar meters.

Booth Output

RCA outputs with level control for booth/link out to additional daisy-chained mixers

FX Loop

Channels have an effect loop on switch with silent FET switching. Effect insert points are separate [TRS] inputs and outputs

3-Band EQ

Powerful 3-band 12dB/octave EQ with asymmetric characteristic: +6dB boost emphasis and -26dB cut for frequency band elimination.

Penny & Giles VCA Crossfader

An ultrahigh quality Penny & Giles conductive plastic crossfader comes fitted as standard on the Xone:02. Replacement of crossfaders is easy - it takes only minutes to remove the faceplate and replace the fader unit.

Transform Switches

Performance channel mute controls which can be rotated to work up/down or left/right.

Engineer/DJ's Toolbox

High-powered headphone output with level and mute switch. Booth/link output on TRS with level. 12-segment, 3-color bar metering displays CH1&2 or mix. Channels have 12-segment, 3-color bar meters. CH1/CH2 cue fader allows preview of x-fades.

Power Supply

High-performance internal switched-mode power supply handles universal voltages

Excellent mixer, simple design, great sound!

By Desi DJ AK-47

from Hartford, CT

The sound out this mixer is incredibly clear and without distortion. The bass is rich and smooth unlike other lower end mixers. The mids and highs are very crisp. The equalizers are excellent and precise. The sound alone is worth the money paid for this mixer. The number of features are perfect - not excessive and not too bare boned either. I love the crossfader curve adjustments. The equalizers are smooth and are great for tweaking with the bass/mids/treble. I would have preferred to have a split headphone cue, but the standard stereo cueing is more than adequate. The Penny Giles crossfader is smooth as silk and does not bleed at all. It has plenty of LINE and PHONO inputs and XLR and RCA master outputs. The mixer is very simple in design, perhaps a little too simple. Yet I prefer a simple mixer than one with tons of cheap looking buttons and flashing lights. This mixer is very clean looking and intuitive to use. The crossfader curves take a little adjustment and experimenting to figure out what suits what mixing style best. This thing is built like a tank. As soon as you pick it up, it's like a small black box - indestructible. All the buttons have a nice rubbery feel to it and do not have the cheap plasticy feel to them. The faceplate and construction design is very professional and up to par with other high end mixers. The design/paint looks a bit boring, but I rather have a mixer that performs well rather than one that looks good. I will say that this mixer is worth every penny so in that regard it's a great value. This is a high end mixer, and it's up their with Rane, Urei and others. Although for this price you can get many other mixers with more bells and whistles, but for this price and sound quality and the quality is hard to beat. Although esthetically a bit blah. This mixer won't win a supermodel competition, but it sure will knock the socks off many mixers in this price range. I would buy one again if it got stolen/lost.Pros:Excellent soundGood QualityGood valueCons:Would have liked to see a sampler or Effects built in for this price.Would have liked to see Split cue in headphone section.Esthetically a bit boring.________________ My setup:Denon DN S-5000 (2)Allen & Heath Xone 02 MixerJBL JRX125 Dual 15" Speakers (2)Crown XLS 802D Amplifier

Have had this mixer for little over a year now and I have really believe that it's an overlooked gem. Pros:- Much better looking in person- Good buid & sound quality- Dual stereo channels. In theory you could use it like a four channel mixer.- sliders used for EQ section- Reverse option on all faders- P&G crossfaderCons:- Monitoring/cue section is basic- effects section also pretty basicneither of the above are really a problem to me:)All in all i highly recommend it.

Its OK!!!

By Dj. Trips .: Cut Galore:.

This mixer I bought back in November 2005, I swear not even 3 weeks into serious scratching I blew the fader (Bleeding into other channels)... Also the mic jack was not working blown circuit... Besides the bad things it does have clean VCA faders and smooth working mixer.
