Incredible mixer with one HUGE drawback !!

Features:

The Good:

Price, incredible value for $.

Amazing build quality, its a mini-tank.

Incredible sound, it's way louder and more precise than mixers 3x it's price.

Total cut eq really is, unlike many other brands I've played on.

Channel faders are smooth, real smooth.

The filters.....omg !

but

The Bad:

There is no "thru" option on the crossfader....thats right, you CANNOT turn it off !!

This means for dj's like me who only ever use the channnel faders, you have to basically secure the thing securely in the middle position with tape or something similar.

To me you only need the x-fader if you have a fast cut mixing style, scratch and/or play hip-hop or that your mixing skills leave a little to be desired and you constantly bale, lol.

I know I have a nerve complaining about this for such an amazing piece of kit but how this 1 small thing could be overlooked is totally beyond me.....

There is simply nothing in the price range of this mixer that comes close to the reliability or quality of the Xone 22. You could pay double and still not get the same quality. It is built like and tank and has performed like new for me over many gigs. The same components are used in this as the industry standard club mixers of A&H's higher level mixers like the Xone 92. OK so it dosent have every little gimicky feature - but it does what it does very well and thats what matters.

Great piece of kit, nice spacious layout, simple to use (I'm yet to touch my manual) and all the essential features you need, even a sweet filter to cap it off. Beautiful sound quality (a class above the DJM400), and built like a tank. If you don't need 4 channels or cheap sounding effects, get this mixer. Best value for money on the market right now.
