Whether you are a sound contractor, gigging musician or live sound engineer, you need consistently clean power from your power amplifiers and the APX1000 brings it to every performance. The APX1000 provides a continuous 2 x 250W at 8ohms, or 2 x 500W at 4 ohms. In bridged mono mode, the APX1000 pumps out 1000 crystal-clear watts of power. Weighing in at only 12.1lb, the APX1000 goes into venues with amazing ease and convenience whether used in a permanent installation or portable application. The incredible power-to-weight ratio and performance quality of the APX 1000 means you'll get solid Class D power without breaking your back or your wallet.
Things can sometimes move at light speed on the stage. Connecting an amp should never slow you down. Balanced combo ¹⁄₄” XLR, inputs, "Touch-proof" binding posts and speak-on jacks make connecting the APX1000 a snap at any gig, so you never lose precious time getting things going. Once installed, the APX1000's level and clip indicators to keep you informed of performance levels at a glance. I pulled about 100 lbs of amps from my club rig amp rack, and put these in. Huge improvement in ease of loading. I was running a BGW 8000 bridged into the subs, giving 800 watts. I ran one of these in parallel mono to the subs, giving 500-540 watts. I didn't need more. One ran my tops in stereo, and one ran 2 monitor channels, 2 wedges each. I used a Behringer dual 31 EQ for FOH, which provided limiting and a sub xover. Here's the best part- I ran the amps and EQ's from a 15 amp power strip! I was limiting my output to a couple db below max, but I was probably hitting a kilowatt on peaks. There was no indication of sag. All 3 amps were stone-cold at the end of the night. I'm very pleased.

Excellent power amps for the money. I use two of them in live performance; one for mains, one for monitors. They are extemely clean-sounding, and will run all night stone-cold. Light weight and well-constructed, I expect to be using them as primary power for a long time to come.

This amp seems to be well constructed. Slim design, light weight. Very quiet fan. Lots of power for a little cash. I did purchase the ext. warranty due to the fact that I was unfamiliar with the brand name. Great for smaller clubs or parties. Easily handles 100 capacity and under.

I have a QSC GX5 as 'my baby', and the tone from this alto is nearly as good. I bought this as both a backup to the QSC and for my monitors and am BLOWN AWAY with the quality and tone. I was lucky enough to steal this in a STUPID DEAL OF THE DAY, but even for the price of a QX3, it's worth it. I also had a GEMSOUND as a backup, which had a muddy sound. This is awesome.
I wouldn't have any problem performing live in a small venue with it. The one feature i wish it had that competitors do is for the volume knobs to have detents to make it easier to match channel levels.
