Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

Don't jump to buy this amp. I have been in the music business for over 40 years and I will admit that once in a while I will make a mistake. But when you sacrifice quality on building amps the only person that pays is the costomer. One of my speaker cables shorted out which caused the fuses to blow in the amp (at least that is what I thought) after searching for 3 days and finally ordering the correct fuses from grainger, guess what.. transformers and other components inside failed from the short. Not to mention, just to change the fuse you have to take the amp apart. This is not a recommended buy. spend a little extra and get a qsc. they are awesome.

Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

This amp was purchased with unknow expectations.
Well let me tell you, I own over 10 systems and I was very pleased with the power and sound of this amp. I have it mounted in an old RCA radio cabinet with a rack mount mixer, hooked to a pair of 18's and a pair of mid bass and horn cabs crossed over passavily and this set up, with this amp makes your hair move with no distortion what so ever.
I have Crown, Mackie, PV, QSC...and many other amps and 'Value for clean watts'...You will not find a better buy on the this earth. If you buy this amp and are intending to use it on the road make sure that you secure the rear mounts in the rack and you should be fine...It does not have a sub send or a built in Xover, but these things should be in your sound lines prior to the amp anyway. Another cool thing with this amp is it's AC consumption. Very efficent!

Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

I picked up a pair of these on the stupid deal of the day. I had already bought 3 of the APX1000's. I now have 2 of each in an 8-space case, and it's an easy 1-man carry. I had them out for a bar gig last Friday, and they worked perfectly. One in parallel mono to a pair of 8 ohm single 18 subs, and the other in stereo to a pair of 15" 2-way tops. One of the APX1000's running 4 wedges. It ran loud all night, and the amps were cool to the touch. They sounded great.

Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

Amp has plenty of power for most setups and is lightweight compared to similar units. A plus is that you can bridge the two chanels for bigger output. Some reviews state problems with it failing, i have used it four times with no problems whatsoever. If you follow the manual, use good connectors and power it on and off as explained you'll have no problems. I took a backup just in case to the first few gigs but dont feel a need to haul it around anymore.Put it in a rack or case and enjoy!

Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

I bought 2 of these for spares . The price was good , shippers did not damage the products , The cabinets and design is practical , attractive , sturdy and matches other gear . The amps look and sound clean and easily adapt to various setups . I would only want to add additional speaker connections as I had to solder together some adapters . I highly recommend these amps at this price .

Comments about Alto APX1500 2-Channel 1500 Watt Power Amplifier:

Unit delivered with wrong power option (220 volt) & it doesn't allow for any switching between 110 & 220. Frost piece of gear I've seen in 10 years that doesn't switch. Very pleased that this mis-stocked item was taken back & I got a full refund.
